Now that is what I call beautiful I’m a 15 year old shearer from New Zealand and it’s always cool seeing how the pros do it overseas I appreciate the content
So satifying, watching the Sheep being relveaed from under their wool, and so smoothly, no ridges, no nicks, such patience when the sheep start expressing they are displeased and wanna go NOW, lol. Thank you for sharing!
So satisfying and relaxing to watch. He makes it looks so easy, but I know it really is not an easy job - it's back-breaking and you need to have strength, control and confidence. 🥰
Oh god that natural luster! And it just slides off like butter from those long blows! Your technique is so fast, efficient, and practiced. Very satisfying.
I have sheared cows which is easy, lot of work sure but this seems hard as hell. I have seen a shearer at work back when I was working on a milking sheep farm as a milker. It's satisfying to watch for sure but nowadays I'm haply to work with cows who are alot easier to deal with tbh and also sheep are so fragile it's so damn easy to accidentally cut their skin because it is so thin. This is excellent work.
Just spent an hour on one sheep and about 30 minutes on a second sheep shearing. Wow you make this look easy. I need to go out with someone who shears to practice cause damn the last few hours wore me and my sheep out. I may not have industrial quality shears, but I'd like to take less than 5 minutes per sheep one day. Thanks for the video
I did the same thing. Watched the videos and thought, gee this looks easy .. famous last words lol. This year I watched a video on how to clean and sharpen the shearers; this helped a lot. Almost got a blanket off my fifth sheep. I'll need to practice a lot more and get a much better quality shearers if I ever hope to sell this wool but I only got the five sheep so we'll see
Hi yes it seams that way however if you look closely I hold the handpiece very lightly which in return allows my wrist to be loose. The grip is changed ever so slightly with the fingers rather than the hand.
PETA: Sheep are always beaten, kicked and killed for your wool. Reality: Sheep need shearing every now and then. At most, they can be annoyed and a bit stressed during the process but so we do at the beauty salon. It’s question of being careful with them.
Great video I’m learning how to shear with some shearers here and Wyoming great vid. And what breed of sheep r those? We don’t see those around our area.
Hi thanks. They are greyface sheep which are crossed from a Blueface Leicester over Scottish blackface face. Good shearing but wild. His it going in Wyoming?
The good thing is the lack of overseas coming to shear means local people can learn the skill and perhaps make a living as a shearer. Is a good opportunity or anyone starting out.
@@shearingschool thank you! The wool looks very soft, the hair staple is quite long and full of beautiful locks. I’m sure it would be a wonderful fiber to spin! Your skills at shearing are amazing!
Never thought I would have said sheep shearing was relaxing but this certainly was!
Very efficient, no second cuts. Nice blanket. Quick and no stress on the animal. Appreciative
the best sheep shearer I have ever watched.

Ya. And these people take good care of the sheep and it's fleece. Thats why it falls free. Relatively clean and not felted.
Some are so harsh with their handling, but you seem firm yet gentle. You 're a pleasure to watch, thanks for sharing!
He’s super fast!
It's not nearly as harsh as you think. Anyone who has sheared a sheep gets it

I could watch this all day long :)
Omg me too
Great job - and no knicks or cuts on the sheep. Every sheep sheerer we've hired always leaves them a bloddy mess.
U just know those sheep feel so much better without all that wool hanging on them... GOOD JOB Shepherd boy!
Go pro shearing needs to be a common thing, great learning viewpoint
