You should make a review nowadays about the gear a couple years ago compared to now. Back then we didn’t see many plates collapsing from hits or getting knocked out and now we are seeing it every week.

Hello, does this come in youth sizes? Also how would we measure the size if so and how many season would it last in general. This will be first year for my son in 10u ball, he has always wanted to play tackle but we been doing flag but now he a lil older n I feel he is ready want to do my part of protecting him best I can. This is how football pads should have always been made. Low profile to be able to move easily but just enough protection for those bigger hits..

Hi, great video first off!! I'm a 5ft 10 running back and would like smaller, low-profile (tighter) fitting shoulder pads. My current ones now are schutt varsity 4.0 adult large but the shoulder pads flap over my shoulder and down my bicep so my movement is restricted. The smaller sizes are out of stock so would the youth sized variant of the pad do the trick for the better fit and same protection?
I'm not sure they make a youth size, but usually, youth are made from different materials and may not protect as much since the contact isn't as forceful. I would check the sizing chart to order the best size for you.
how light are these pads all together
I’m in highschool I bought the carbon fiber shoulder pads with all my summer money and protection wise it actually is pretty good I did Oklahomas and no pain difference from when I used regular pad and giving that it has extra mobility I think it’s worth it but the only thing that might be a concern with these pads is that you may need to replace the compression vest it did ripped during a practice when I was wearing no shirt over it

I got the pads and I can agree putting them on is partner needed but taking it off is hella easy

how is the protection on the poly pads? does the foam absorb more impact compared to the xenith velocity 2?
Hmm I wouldn't say more but I wouldn't say less. I'm not use to taking hits as I deliver them and my mind is more focused on delivering hits. But if it was worse I'd notice.
I'm a football player from germany and I am playing in an very Low Amature League mostly as a WR and QB but Sometimes also as a DB (Freesafety). I'm doing upper Body weight Training 2-3 Times a week.
In Terms of Protection: Would you recommend this shoulder pads even for amature Players like me?
It depends on what you value. If you like to feel secure and protected and have the budget, these are great. If you think being hot will make you uncomfortable, there are other pads out there like the Xenith Velocity 2. You won't be able to use those on non-padded days however.

You can get light weight adult pads with the same mobility and better coverage. Won't be as cheap tho

I would say no. The plate is way too stiff for a soccer cleat.
Would you recommend using these for Running backs?
I would, although some players have reported the side pads get in the way of holding the ball high and tight

Good question. I’d have to measure it. But I can tell you that the best felt heavier when I sweat because it absorbed some of the sweat

Are those the lightest pads you've worn?
The lightest pads I've ever worn were the Riddell CLS (Carbon Light Speed) shoulder pads. They were about 2.6 pounds, full carbon and completely customizeable. Just search Riddell CLS Shoulder Pad Review and my video should pop up on RUclips.

@@dwighttrammer2434 I don't think at the youth or most high schools you need pads for non-padded days. That's really where these come in. My favorite all-time pad (based on good protection, great fit, and affordability) are the Xenith Velocity 2 pads. They just came out with a new one though that I am excited to test.

These shoulder pads are not for ballcarriers mark my words. If you do make sure you get the tightest vest. The pads will move when hit and pop the ball out. They are definitely the most light comfy and flexible of all pads. But I wear x tech. Ive tried everything.

I've tried just about everything including the original carbontek and a ball carrier can definitely wear these. The pads do not move. Perhaps you aren't wearing the right size?
