Love it, I’m in the middle of a Cummins V-378 transplant into my 68 4x4 f350 flatbed build. It’s to paint now but the engine kept running worse and worse, with huge amounts of blow by after putting new injectors into it. Got another lined up from a log skidder since the whole truck was built around that engine, before I do an autopsy.
Love that Detroit sound. I was young and remember listening to skidders running Detroits at night when the ground was the most frozen. Thanks sawed off frenchman. You need to tame your fear of sparks. Make that connection and don’t be a Willard about it. Don’t be stunned.

You'd have to build a super truck. Get yourself a medium duty frame with front and rear axles, and at least a 5+2 Spicer trans, then shorten the frame and driveshaft, and stick a decent cab and box on it with a shitton of frame lift, lol. Be fucking sweet though!
Any of the 53s or 71s were awesome engines. They could have bad blower seals and a rod hanging out the side of the block and with a little either they would start and run every time.
