    I think once Clement realized Raylan was completely serious about the "shootin' match" at the bar, he finally understood who Raylan was, and that rattled him just enough that he developed some level of respect for Raylan.

    The only other time we saw the true Raylan was at the beginning when he was talking the guy out of the bedroom hostage situation and he said everybody was being cool "except for the cops by the toaster oven". THAT was the Raylan we all came to see!

      In hindsight I actually love that they waited so long to have him pull. It really highlighted the actual violence of what he’s been doing all these years, and it makes sense that he’d be kind of questioning things after all these years. Plus you’re kind of wondering the whole show if the old Raylan is still in there somewhere, and boy was he

      You know what's crazy? I think they are showing parallels between Raylan and Boyd. Before y'all call me stupid heare out. You remember when Boyd was all Jesusy and trying to good and Beau went killed all his disciples? Maybe Raylan wasn't trying to kill folks cause he was trying to better too.

    It definitely struck me as very odd that Clement was a temporary figure in the long story of Raylan Givens, yet he might have been as similar as we've ever seen. Like, Mansell was right, Raylan DOES enjoy his own humor and has had many a casual conversation with someone he's about to shoot dead. Even more so than he and Boyd, he and Mansell are both just so similar that when Raylan does what he does and draws on Clement in an instant, it actually surprised me for once.

    • @michaelrodriguez1391
      @michaelrodriguez1391 9 месяцев назад

      @@jamesbloomfield8038 It feels forced. Raylan and Boyd were enemies who respected each other. They could had ended the first season with Raylan facing the consequences for shooting Clement. Clement might have been the first season's main villain but he didn't pull a gun on Raylan in the finale. Raylan shot Clement because he thought he had a gun on him. A cop can't shoot a unarmed criminal. Boyd was a great villain in the original Justifeild. Stretching a character's storyline after it comes full circle doesn't work. Raylan did face consequences for killing that mobster in the pilot of the original Justifeild. Raylan was reassigned from Miami to Kentucky.

  • @Soulache

    I didn't expect to feel so bad for Clement at the end, but Justified always had a way of making you root for the bad guy.
    I also hope that they don't make Raylan go after Boyd again, just let them have their almost-happy ending.

    Of all the times for Clement not to pull, why now? The number of times we've seen this psycho kill people out of self-defense, annoyance, accident, anger, or even just sheer boredom; and _this_ is the time he decides to pull his sh*tty demo tape instead of a gun?
    He really does just live in his own world. To the very end, he put his own bullsh*t ahead of anything else.

    wasn't "Justified" for me, had the name but was missing the essence, but that would have been some feat in my opinion as the essence was Harlan County and with that all it entails, Chicago, Detroit, even Miami as rich & stipped in historical lawlessness and criminal activities these locations have in abundance, they lack that "us against the world" spirit that is so prevalent in Harlan, so if there is going to be a season 2, and if it's going to stand any chance of being a success then I suggest going down the obvious route of going back to it's roots,
    that's my opinion anyway

      @@jamesbloomfield8038 I think it wouldn't have even been anything to scoff at if there wasn't so much race talk in the first half of the series. Didn't really ever see Raylan "chasing" any of his romantic interests in the original series like he did in this one. Seemed like a self-insert kind of situation.

    A plot idea
    The powers that be ain't happy with Raylan getting away with "so much sh#t" then retiring to pastures blue, so they use a criminal to catch a criminal and a criminal with a grudge is perfect, they deputise Boyd, fake his escape knowing its the only play they have to entice Raylan outta retirement, Boyd has no intention of doing this though, he just wants to kill Raylan and almost succeeds until Raylan plays the only card he can, telling Boyd that he has a son and he knows where he lives....

    Not only was this cash brag disrespectful to the real fans of Justified, but I honestly think it was made with malice. The way they wrote the plots, the characters, and the romance, all was planned with bad intentions to offend the old fans. And the way they did the last episode, with a fake cliffhanger after all the garbage they put in 7 and a half episodes, it's just stupid and kinda evil. I think these modern writers think they are smarter than the viewers, so they can rip off people and hijack old shows to get easy money. It's not going to work. We are not dumb and we see what you did with Justified. 7 and a half awful episodes and only in the last half hour of the last episode you bring a real Justified vibe to the show so you can renew the series and then bait and switch the audience again. Nope. No wonder studios don't want to pay these "writers".

      I just googled it and it told me that writers have complete say over a project and their scripts are the law, that are never changed by the director . It also said that studios and syndicate projects have no say in what they want a show to be.

    Raylan commits unjustified acts multiple times in this new series and what follows is one of them. Definitely feels like agenda driven BS.

    • @troyboy811
      @troyboy811 8 месяцев назад +2

      Don't really even know what you mean by this. I am not particularly a fan of Primeval, but Raylan's entire character in the original is based on operating in the moral gray area. What happens after this scene could reasonably be seen as out of character for Raylan, but it could hardly been seen as "unjustified." Especially when Mansell involved Raylan's daughter.

    • @Baron_Blue_Max
      @Baron_Blue_Max 8 месяцев назад +3

      Are you serious? There was nothing unjustified about this shooting. Clement just broke into Raylons girl's house, right in front of him, and Raylon knew he had just come from killing all the Albanian. Clement reached into his back after saying "I have something for you" or something like that. If Raykon had NOT drawn his gun and shot him dead at that point, THAT would be unlike him. The only thing I wish they had included was him listening to Clements tape wall out on the boat with his daughter and saying "he's got a pretty good voice." The only person who liked his voice would be Raylon.
