Amazing. How Eric is so succinct. So much depth in his speaking. Very profound yet he explains it so well. Grasping and applying the learning is another thing altogethet though. Holy spirit please lead and guide me.

Excellent. Do any of your books talk about the wilderness experience, I wonder? I'm in the wilderness. What does it take to get to the Promised Land? And what is it symbolic of do you think? Experiencing God? I feel as though I've been seeking forever. All I want is His presence yet I can't seem to get there. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I am not a preacher or any "big man" but from my experience with the Holy Spirit the reason why I can't get 100% of His presence is because of me.
And I am regarding to 100% like totaly satisfied.
Well there can be many reasons but I think the biggest reason why many human beings do not get the fully 100% is and yes thats so so often the case with me, that people aren't willing to fully surrender.
And with fully surrender I mean fully totaly 100% surrender.
I personaly often find myself in a state of "pride" and arrogance saying things like "Oh God where is your precious Holy Spirit? What do I do wrong? Am I the one doing something wrong? or do you just withhold your presence from me?" and yes the last sentence as you can see is filled with frustration.
What I then often do is I ask the Holy Spirit to humble me. I listen to worship songs on youtube for hours and first the Holy Spirit starts to sing allong kinda (in my thoughts) the praises and songs (The Holy Spirit makes every song great) then my arms move (to the beat, yep it looks realy stupid) and then I sometimes also begin to dance (and yes my dancing skills are realy cringy xD), but yea people may say the Holy Spirit is in the silence (yes I experienced that also), but I also do say you can find the Holy Spirit in "action" and movement.
Sometimes I also lay on the ground and just cry like a little baby, litteraly my hair is so wet after this xD.
But yea don't hold back from your emotions during worship, or anything else. I think we do have emotions because God has emotions. Cry if you wanna cry, doesn't matter if it's out of joy, saddness or even anger. That's what King Davids "secret" was, he was honest with God, David may have said "Go God kill them all", but he was heartfully honest, thats why God loved David so much, David was honest, full of emotions (in my opinion, I mean just read psalms), and fully surrendered to God.
So yea if you are not ready to express God in your cringy dance or "bad" voice then the Holy Spirits (in my opinion) first wish does not come true in your life, which is to express God in your life also in private and not only in religious rule holding so other persons see how lovely you are.
Indeed I have never heard God say "oh you dance so stupid, or sing so bad". I think God hears my heart sing and dance, not my "physical" actions, but my "physical" actions do express what's going on in me. And if I can't express myself physical towards God I often don't get to these 100% (i dont know why).
But what is needed isn't great worship songs or super long times of "silence", but the Holy Spirit Himself. Alltough these silent times can get God into your room a loooootttt (from my experience)
I want to quote some preacher here: "Salvation is free, but the annointing will cost you everything"
You have to surrender a 100% and go with your heart to the Holy Spirit and not with your mind. Only the Holy Spirit is able to bring forth the revelation of Christ and Christ Himself and with that also His presence (not your philosophy or great knowledge).
I don't know if that helped some of you or so, but I hope this may help someone.

I've been consistently praying and reading the word for months during a crisis, but still nothing. Feels like God doesn't care
trying fasting. it will quiet or numb the flesh and soul from feeling the influence of the enemy or an unrenewed mind's opposition. at the same time it will awaken your sensitivity to your spirit and God's Spirit. Nothing has helped me near as much as fasting. you also need to feed only your spirit when fasting by reading scripture and communing with God, while also starving your flesh and soul of more than just food, no social media, movies, anything soul or sensual feeding.

Repentance is glorious, for it is looking at the face of Jesus and not wanting anything else because you have experienced His glorious love. I hope you spend hours a day in worship and prayer as to not be deceived. That is how I safeguard from being deceived.

I once felt like God and the devil were playing passing the ball......and I was the ball. It was no sin issue.. As a matter of fact I was on fire for God and all of a sudden...
Let me tell you why you might feel distant, God is dealing with the sin nature that is in and around you. Repentance is not perfected. Still holding on to a spirit of sin. Not letting go completely to the point of walking away from the things you love. Some one around you may be putting curses or demonic spells on you, the wicked spirits keep god away You have allowed the spirit in intentionally. God will remove that sin when you come clean. You also may have a desire to harm another, that keeps God at distance. The one you desire to harm is jealousy envy greed and ego. Remove these from you. Make restitution for the harm done. If you destroyed one and then come to christ, the one you destroyed deserves justice if you are deceit. Otherwise a humble heart that chooses to walk away from the worlds ways God will never leave. Following the path of christ is not easy if you are not complete with the Holy Spirit. This is where the world goes wrong. God is not a magic wand either.
