Can someone please tell me HOW you put a cost on a service member's life? That veteran education benefit is to help the remaining spouse provide a higher education for that deceased service member's child/children. I'm sure that not all of them will utilise that benefit, but it should be there.
We are a military family with 3 autistic children. Our children used to be homeschooled until their needs became too much for us to help with and we sent them to public school for 2 years. It has destroyed our children’s mental well being and academic progress but because we are military, they feel like they can wait us out and are refusing to offer proper services. Most military families don’t have the resources or time to fight school districts. Military families already sacrifice so much… it’s a shame we have to sacrifice our children’s education as well.
I Pray that nobody takes whats ours. We earned it and we were promised these benefits at enlistment. There are millions of other ways Virginia can save money without hurting others or taking from veterans and their families.

It's not just colleges, our vets that go to trading schools r having a hard time getting reimbursements from the V.A. 1 of our friends that fought in the Iraq war can't get the money for his school, the stress. he's going through over this ,the phone calls,the trips, waiting red tape it's not right.
