@@dedradelreyez158 It’s a all encompassing controlling religion and culture that unless you disown you’re family run away to Siberia or be disowned which happens to many ) it’s a struggle to deprogram and it never really fully leaves you. I lost family for 3 years reconciled but they still try to get me to come back every time I visit and they tell me my life is hard because Gods not blessing me and I need to get back etc it’s very manipulative.
May the Lord strengthen you and uphold you. May He keep you and protect you. May His joy be your strength. May you move from strength. Be at rest and in peace, in Him. As you share in His suffering, you will also share in his glory.
The human heart is such a fragile yet sacred place. After years of being stuck in my own head- fighting voices of shame and self criticism, my heart is finally awakening to the depth and width of God's love.Traumatic experiences can really scar a person but knowing that truly nothing can separate us from His love is most liberating! Opening one's heart to give and receive love takes much courage; only He can truly give. I'm realising more and more how numb we can be if we don't let the Lord in for every step of the ride. We can bury our heartache and become unfeeling towards life, only to trip on it one day. How good it is that He is always there regardless and has first loved us; all we need to do is open our hearts to Him.

This is the MOST BEAUTIFUL, INSPIRATIONAL AND HEARTFELT SONG IN MY LIFETIME! I will be 60 on Monday, my Momma has Dementia and my kitty needs to go to Heaven tomorrow. My husband cannot cope with me having Multiple Sclerosis and multiple other medical issues. I have had such great difficulty communicating with him until Jesus whispered to me that he is only thinking about how my health affects him and not me. I am a very soulful, optimistic, loving and open woman. After hearing this song a week ago, my healing has begun. I can accept my husband’s lack of emotional support, lack of affection and his inability to communicate. I have handed him over to Jesus and as such, Let Go. I will be going to the most beautiful place on earth after my sweet Tiger makes his journey home. I am going to Sedona. The feeling of HIS presence is astonishing. I will take this journey alone and hope to do some serious soul searching. After all, 32 years together, 29 married, will be a challenge to walk away from.

Few years ago, I was pretty much getting my life back with God and this song I had been listening to....I fell in love even more. Went to sleep one night, and I woke up and the Love of God was all around me.....I couldn't stop thinking of this song and I felt an impression to write a poem....this is what I wrote......
Sails
I was stuck and stranded on a sea of misery,
I sent up a flare to see if there was any help out there for me,
The tattered and torn sails of my heart blew open from the wind of God's unfailing Love,
Which sent me sailing into the night with the only Light in sight, the One above,
He shined down and peace comfort did surround and the chains that had me lost and bound fell down around and now I'm found,
He reached down and purpose and plan were in His hand,
A holy destination was in demand as I took a step of faith and my foot hit the sand,
On shore and sure to be free from broken boat and foamy sea,

Disconnected in church and from people is a very real experience that not many people talk about. This song in particular just connects me to God in a way I haven't quite understood before. There is something healing in the way it serves it's ministerial purpose. It touches the soul.

I feel like this pierces directly into the giant wall that stands around my generation, Especially the modern church culture. Its a culture with everyone is hiding behind a mask/facade, and is drowning in a sea of constant distraction and attention appeasement. As a worship leader ive seen this more now than ever before, especially in the youth. I believe this song is a message that calls Gods people above from the noise. And i think Steffany nailed it on the head. The awakening that needs to happen is a literal awakening. Its a generation putting down their phones in order to wake up and face the present; to stop running from it. To learn how to Walk with Jesus again in every moment. A generation that can worship past the veil of a planned out organized song list from their favorite artist 1 day a week. Pat, Steff, and Amanda, I consider y'all to be my family, especially since you understand.. y'all just stepped into something massive here. I pray that the Church sees this and understands what the voice of God truly is saying here, and what He just did in them.

The same man did a video decrying Passion Conference and the music played there. Scary what people will believe. Chris Tomlin believes in Pastor Louie Giglio and the Passion Conferences, he went and aligned himself with them. Pat Barrett is signed to Chris Tomlins’ label. Really need to hear this today with lock down due to COVID 19, it's sucks when you face challenges and you understand that it's not all about you but God the almighty. It's took me a lot of time to realize that I was the only one who run away from him because I had other God that I was worshipping ( work, family and so on ) and he was not the first lover of my Soul anymore. But while I was facing Dead in the end of May 2020, almost dying from pulmonary embolism and pneumonia, there alone in the intensive care so far from my loved ones. Only Jesus save me and rescue me from Dead. Now this is where I am here you are . Yeah I let out the sails of my heart to you Jesus. Please forgive me and restore me. I terribly need you in my life. Pat- RUclips decided to play this song for me in the midst of digging deep into grievances about my past and it went straight to my heart. I was thinking about being a kid in a room full of LEGO bricks, imagining a better, joy-filled place where people came together and loved one another, and realizing God was there in my midst, in my longing for eternity and to be loved. I took on responsibility for too much as a kid, trying to keep my family sane while doubting that anyone could love me for being me. Coming to God with who you are is a huge risk when you don't understand what love and nurture are. Coming to God on my knees or prostrate feels easier than coming to him open handed; knowing my own failures and weakness leaves me flattened, but letting God speak the truth that I am dearly loved, treasured, and the source of his immense joy lifts me up. Humility isn't thinking less of myself, it is thinking of myself less, and letting God build his love for me up way more and more. How lovely and messy it is to unfurl the sails and let God fill them, wherever that might lead! Thank you for your vulnerability in song form and taking me back to the grace of Jesus.

I just discovered this song and all I can say is WOW! God’s timing is always perfect and again he proves it with this song. Recently I have been crush by things outside of my control, and instead of wallowing in pity, I’ve been holding onto God and claiming his promises. My spiritual growth has been unbelievable. I literally cried with joy listening to this song. I love towards the end, “This is just the beginning of a new way of living with you.” That’s my promise to God for the rest of my life!

I am a loving father, a friend that will never leave nor forsake you, and there is nothing that you can do to change that." There is no need for them to perform in the big stage to be worship by people, but they made it beautiful because they are singing for God ! And it's really spontaneously awesome. I have listened to it several times. Wow God is good !
I played this most beautiful of songs while my sweet REXXY took his last breath. He is in Heaven now with all of our fur babies. He brought (just shy of 17 years) of laughter, sweetness and joy to our lives. Sweetest Tiger. My tea will never be as sweet and the sunrise will be torture. Praise be to The Lord that we are together through eternity. Feeling heartbroken and blessed too. Hearing his last breath was a gift for he is no longer suffering.
Left me speechless and in awe of how real God's presence is. I just love how the song was written. It's just pure and so real. I believe it ministered first on the songwriter and these singers, and they shared it to us viewers/listeners. I am so blessed to hear such amazing singers. I struggle as a worshipper to find people who understand worship the way I do. Feel it the way I do! I know that I have been created to worship in a way that just lets the Lord be the absolute center of my words when I sing to Him but struggle with the restrictions of churches visions of worship. I know to be honoring of my leadership but feel imprisoned at the same time. I love the freedom you share with Papa. I see it, feel it, taste His oh so sweet presence!!! Let out the sails of my heart...opening up our hearts entirely to Jesus. Letting Him into those places that we don't want anyone to see, anyone to know about. But, when we're completely open with Jesus it allows Him to heal us, to set us free, it also allows us to accept, and walk in the incredible LOVE He has for us.
Love that frees us of guilt, of shame, of things that are holding us back from living the lives Christ desires us to live. May you experience His love in a new and powerful way this day! ❤❤

Leah Chichester yes letting out everything to God and trusting that He got us.... if you have been disappointed many times, it’s hard to trust and we take the same to worship with God. We hold back and don’t give our all just in case it it doesn’t go the way we want... so letting our sails means completely trusting God to guide us... that’s how I understand it. He is always with us... and we need to give our all

He want to take up those sails and free you from the worries of the storm. He’s waiting for you! Love is patient and kind. It always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. Love never fails. God won’t fail you even when you perish, because He met you hear and gave you his son Jesus Christ so that you may have eternal life.

This is the first time I'm listening to this song...there was a plane flying out in the horizon as I listened and I just thought how GOD wants to take us on a faith journey.
