I worked at IRA Toyota several years ago in the state of MA and they always use a "scare tactic" of having you install dashcams, remote starters or any other add-ons so that they get the business versus having someone else do the job elsewhere. You should be fine with the warranty.
Hey I just bought one, do i need to connect to the app every time I get in the car for the video to start recording, or will it save the footage and I only need to get on the app when I need to retrieve the footage?
Using common sense you should hsve recorded video outdoor during daylight so inside of the car can be clearly recorded...also is this model A or Model B fitcamx ?? And when you are showing comparison in between 2 camera covers what models are those ? You have to flip them around and show properly and before you start a comparison you have to mention what 2 things are you comparing

Do you know if the dashcams restart when you stop at a traffic light or sign if your car has the idle function that "saves" gasoline?
The camera stays on even you’re engine start/stop function is on.

No need to connect the app every time, just when you need to download the footage.

Type a and type B differs only what year model you got, 22+ uses type b
