When Kurt Warner, who was undrafted , blew up the league and won mvp in 1999, I don’t recall him being downplayed like Purdy has been. Warner had Faulk,Holt,Bruce,etc.. and he was lauded for his performance. Purdy has been crapped on by everybody in the media. Give the guy some CREDIT!! Enough already.

Brock Purdy and this offense are putting up numbers strikingly similar to the greatest show on turf. This kid deseves to be the MVP favorite as of now.
And to anyone saying hes a check down QB heres a stat for you: 9.9 YPA on the SEASON. Btw we haven't seen a QB do this in 67 years.

@@josephsmith2417thats just factually untrue... if i remember right they are averaging 4.5 yards after the catch... which i you didnt know isnt out of the ordinary for mvp quarter backs...also if brock has such tools why did other QBs struggle???if you actually compare brock to other QBs you can just see how accurate his throws are. He puts the ball in gteat spots for his players to make yard after the catch because he is hitting them in stride and making sure they dont have to find the ball and just keep running.
As much as the skill positions on 49ers make it easy on purdy, he does the same for them.
Also...YP/A means distance thrown before a receiver touches it. He has the highest air yards per completion of any qb. That's not throwing it 5 yards and the receiver doing the work.

Brock's assets are footwork, vision and accuracy. The asset that most ignore is his salary. Those who downgrade him because of the other stars on the offense forget that Deebo and McCaffery and Trent can get paid because Purdy is a great bargain right now.

Him and Stroud are neck n neck with yards, but as you scroll right you see that purdy is more efficient and by projection should be, at least considered, for MVP. Christian McCaffrey is being great as well rushing and receiving.

For all you haters of Brock Purdy let me break it down barney style for you. The players are buying in because they know how it was before purdy started and they can see it first hand that the difference is night and day. They understand that he is an mvp because no other qb under Shanahan at SF can run that system. Let me ask you this. Compare it to a car. A car is a system. The QB is the engine. You have awesome suspension, transmission, tires, breaks, aerodynamics... but if you don't have an engine that can make that car run fast and efficient, it won't win races... Jimmy g, was a 4 cylinder prius engine. gets you from a to b but can't win races... Purdy is an F1 engine with perfect timing that can win you championships because you have other top of the line parts making that system, the car, perfect. Purdy is MVP of the team because of what he brings to the table. Niners were good before him but now they are great.

Vs the Bengals he was hit in the head again. Look at his stats before and after being hit in the head. Even in those two games he wasn't terrible by any means.
He is doing this behind an O-Line that is #22 in the league. Every good QB has good weapons.

These media pundits are paid to create either controversy or hype one way or the other. They see how this kid is performing, they see the same stats, they watch the same film. But what did Tom do in both New England and Tampa Bay for the Super Bowls he won? He perfected the system. He didn't work outside of it. He didn't work around it. I am sick of hearing about whether Brock should be the MVP or not. I believe if this young man, who is a man of great character, wins the Super Bowl, he will care less about winning the MVP.
