raja imins social workers play a variety of roles wether in the private or community sectors. We work in schools, hospitals, corporate settings, policy, criminal justice, and just about anything I can think of. Look up what social workers do! It will give you a better idea :)

It makes me so happy to see a guy doing social work! I’m not doing it yet (I’m still a sophomore in high school), but I will be after high school. I love everything about social work because the options are endless! The only thing that I don’t like is the education takes forever, as well the extra 3,00 hours you need to spend supervised in order to become a clinical social worker. I want to become a clinical social worker, so it’s going to take me a while. Also, it’s going to be expensive, and the social work jobs don’t pay much. But, it’s my calling.

@@basybas2978 ooh, thanks so much for replying :). I absolutely love how diverse social work is. Both the academic perspectives (sociology, philosophy, political sciences, health sciences, psychology, law) and it's fields of work. I did my placement semester in the child welfare system. To be precise I worked with traumatized and/or hard-to-reach teenagers in a 24/7 shared accommodation setting. And even though it was quite stressful sometimes I absolutely loved the professional relationship building aspect of it. In Germany higher education - or education in general - differs from each federal state. So a bachelor's degree in Bavaria will last 3,5 years whereas a master's will last an additional 1,5 years. So I still have another semester left for my bachelor thesis. Fortunately both a bachelor's and master's degree is tuition free here :)
I'm still currently struggling to get good enough grades in order to enroll for my preferred master's degree (clinical social work) as the competition is tough :)
I'm looking forward to browse through your channel. Judging from one of your video titles I already suppose you're also interested in pursuing (or already have) a master's. Thanks mate and stay healthy. :)

I just graduated from my bachelors and I got accepted into the masters program. I will be starting next year. I really cannot wait haha. Paul TV hmmm that I’m not sure about. But if you speak English ( which It looks like you do very well ) you might have to take some classes. We are in different countries and that might cause you to restart all over again :// I could be wrong. You can do some research and see what you find !! 💚💚

@@SUKHMANS05 if you are thinking of studying social service in canada...thats a good option...but i think there are many better options if you really wanna do something after coming to Canada... cause im no longer interested in social work...im going to take IT or computer science....which i think will be good for my future. You can do something in arts also..or you can start something entirely new...just depends on what you wanna do. I just dont think social work has that many jobs in US or Canada. Must be different from here, in Brazil is common the social work profession, but i saw that is USA and Canada most of people don’t know what is and what does a social assistance. Is that true?

Read regulatory and disciplinary law. Make sure you know how to instruct your own lawyer at civil and criminal trials.
(fitness to practise (FTP) 'proceedings' (trials) in the UK are arranged by the prosecution, who also pay the judge and jury, and instructed by managers at the corporate company called the regulator.
Learn how to defend yourself at trial.
Some lawyers are dishonest and make up allegations about students and qualified professionals so that the lawyers have a constant stream of legal cases ( giving them money, and opportunities to practise their 'court room skills - including lying about professionals with a po face).
Don't even consider health care practice in the UK unless you have lawyers in the family to help you.
There's much too much repetitive form filling in SW in the UK 🥺🥴💩

I have always had a passion for working with people (specifically kids), though I have a masters degree in another field, the plan is to hit the ground running when I land in Canada by applying for another Masters in Social works. I have over 5 years experience working with teenagers. Please what are the chances of applying for MSW without an educational background in the field? Thanks

Yes u can get admission in Bachelor of social work but this is one of the most expensive courses in Australia for internationals.
I reckon this course has vast opportunities for jobs with attractive salary packages.
Most of the universities provide this course m not sure about colleges. However, Curtin University (Perth) is considered as top ranked uni for social work.

Basy Bas ahhhh okay thank you so much! Yes I know I’ve been practicing a lot of self care during these times. Also getting more organized and I took 2 summer classes for the first time during my CSU time and thankfully passed both w an A. I didn’t want to take 5-6 classes for fall & spring so that helped a lot bc im taking 4 classes total. 3 regular SW and 1 which is my seminar & made sure to leave 2 days completely free for internship ☺️ I’ll keep you updated as I go ❤️. I tried looking you up on IG but couldn’t find you 😩😭

I studied BSc political science in Nigeria and I want to study Masters in Social Work in either Australia or Germany. I have an admiration for Australia too. My GPA is 3.04 on a 5 scale (Second class lower division). Will I be eligible for the Masters program in Social Work at German or Australia universities?

Hey Basy Bas! I also want to do micro practice (I want to be a child and family social worker) because I am interested in working with children and families. This is more of a short term goal for me. To be absolutely honest with you, my end goal is actually to also be a psychotherapist and work with teenagers as well! I love every aspect of psychology and I think that teenagers need as much help as we can give them (not that I can really say anything because I am still a teenager and am only 19). But that is what I want to do!
I am also thinking about maybe working in child welfare as well.
