I too miss Old Alabama Gardener. I found him a few years ago and even though it was short lived I'm happy that I did find him.
That man is a blessing even in the smallest doses. I'm glad you found him Patriot I am a definitely a better gardener for having learned from him. He is sorely missed.

Below 80 but above 40.....then they just take off.Lettuce does much better during the 50-70 degree ranges

What can I use if I don’t have dried grass clippings
Alfalfa will work....even a few rabbit or guinea pig food pellets will work in a pinch. Just pre soak them and break it up
