Hello, I wonder why in most markets in Europe and the US, there is no 490 model in the Stihl offer? Ecology? My dealer claims that this is the best model.
I have the FS490C and it's a beast. I would pick the Stihl FS490C over the Husqvarna any day. To grease the gear head on the Stihl, you need to take the gear head off and grease it.
Hi. Is 120 PSI a good reading for the compression of the Husq 545 rx? Mine has about three years in normal use (not hard, but not very light either). And I also spotted some vertical markings on the cylinder and I dont know if that is from normal wear or if its something else, thoe I cannot feel anything with my nail. Piston doesnt have any markings. I have another brushcutter from another manufacturer with even more of those vertical markings on the cylinder and it has given me a reading of the compression tester of 135 PSI.
And I have noticed a play from the crankshaft to the same axis with the tube, not left right up down. I have seen others on youtube with the same play. Why is that? And only 545rx. The 555rxt 343r dont have any play.. It seems weird
@@pracakosaipilarka4301 For me, 4mix did not last even two seasons in the brushcutter. I still use the hedge trimmer though, and it's been 10 years old and working. it all depends on the frequency of use.

I have the 545rx and the smaller 525rx and i love them
Cause of the price I bought the Husqy and did not regret it!
I agree completely with you, i like Hasky, enjoyable working with this machine. Simple machine is always better in the context of reliability
I have stihl fs 480 and fs 490 c em and i love them
Very nice machine both of them are very strong
Husky seems smoother and winds up quicker

I'm the odd man out, I run a S270 Shindiawa. But both of these Machines are beast! I've used a 336 Husqvarna w/ Scarlet Blade and it cut like a Champ

You should have compared the 545 RX with the Stihl FS 460 cem. Why? because they are similar in displacement range!
