Stromae has invented a new style of music that mixes sensible, intelligent or even ingenious lyrics in the face of the life of any citizen of this world and at the same time he manages to make us dance. Racine Carré is aging but his words are still relevant today. He is considered in Europe as the new Jacques Brel, that could be true although the texts of Brel are often much darker. He has been missing since he wanted to take a break, strongly that he comes back, there would be something to say besides following the last years that we have spent!
This song was the Belgian team’s hymn at the Brasil’s world cup of soccer in 2014. So every time our players won a match, this song started playing. It was so epic! You should react to Jacques Brel, the best singer Belgium ever got. Yeah, I mean it. He is even better that Stromae. Start with « la valse à 1000 temps » to get the skills of the guy.
100% agreed on both fronts. La Valse à 1000 temps is excellent. Other obvious suggestions for Brel are "Le Moribond" (covered many times) and "Ne me quitte pas". As for Ta Fête, it was also used as the tune for the daily soccer program on local television. There's a 2nd official music video for the song which is quite hilareous, featuring the Belgian players, and Stromae performing live in the stadium warming up the crowd.
You would be delighted to learn that Stromae is coming back with a new albun at end of the year after a long hiatus. Nothing official yet but this guy is getting signed to the biggest festivals in the World ATM
The song/video is a coming of age story. The obstacles are the people in the life of a young person. Bureaucracy, judge, mother, girlfriend, it's hard to juggle all that. And then when he escapes into adulthood, it's just more of the same labyrinth.
Hello Dereck! Just wanted to say you're right when you say he plays some sort of dictator. Actually, the way he dressed, especially the hat and the walking stick, is a direct allusion to the congolese dictator Mobutu. It's super obvious for belgian people because Congo was a belgian colony and only accessed to independance in 1960. Once again with Stromae, even if the music sounds like a simple song for partying, the meaning of the lyrics can run pretty deep in reality. And I totally love your chanel btw! :)
Belgian Power 🤣🤣🤣 There are many awesome artists in Belgium!!!😉😉 Please react to : --Pierre Rapsat : Rien qu'une chanson ( duo with Lio) --Machiavel : FLY --Venus : Beautiful days --Puggy : When you know... or ...Last day on earth --Lasgo : Something ( dance) ... etc...
This song is based on a french saying basically ta fete = the party and it's like a bunch of people waiting for a fighting party for you where they'll fight against you
Again 👍👍, Dereck. Another official clip, in tribute to Cesaria Evora => "Ave Cesaria" 💚💃 Stromae's new album will be released at the end of 2021. Concerts planned in France in 2022. Finally, the return of this incredible artist...
Stromae is absolutely fabulous! Unfortunately, he went on burn-out after a world tour following his phenomenal first and only album! I hope so much he will recover and give us other albums !
Tu peux faire un autre artiste Belge très talentueux a la voie aiguë il s'appelle Loïc Nottet il a fait une reprise de Sia Chandelier super et ces propre chanson dont millions eyes qui sont superbes
That awesome how you react of Stromae's songs, you should watch the live record Racine Carré tour, my friend make beautiful light to play with all his song, it give a different view of all his song, and it's one of the best show I've ever seen 👍👍
I love Stromae, pronouce it Sto Ma é, it means maestro, the other way around! 😉 Please, react to french rapper Orelsan, he's another genius! His videos are great too. I recommend "simple, basique", "Paradis", "défaite de famille" to start with.. He did a duet with Stromae called "la pluie".
So Ta Fete means "Your Party" but can also be a warning as it can also mean the same thing as "someone is getting on your case" in different context and the entire video is basically an analogue for this mans responsibilities. Notice how all of the people he's fighting are dressed a particular way. While we don't know the identity of some of them, we do known three. A man dressed in a Judges uniform, a woman dressed in an apron, and a woman in a wedding dress. These are people in his normal life, think of the video like a battle taking place in his brain. The judge is the pressure of the law to someone who likes to go out and party hence the ta fete. The woman in the apron his the mans mother, notice how during their fight, the man is about to fall but the woman catches him and embraces him. This is a visual representation of the bond between a mother and son, even when they fight, the mother would never let their son crash and burn without support. The wedding dress girl is obviously his wife (or maybe even girlfriend and she represents a fear of commitment) Notice the maze hes in, large, bending and ever changing, and when he finally escapes his responsibilities and leaves the maze, he finds only a large maze.
This song was theorically for soccer world cup in 2014 but I suspect it to be an allusion to the First World War, just 100 years after. "Your Mom, she's gonna get on your case", it could be the Mother land that sends you to be killed in the war and you have no escape.
Listen to: We are the world ( song wrote by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie ) All the good performers of the 70 ,80 and 90 s are in this ) , also FREDDIE MERCURY & MONTSSERAT CABELLÁ- BARCELONA ( EPIC ,EPIC SONG )
You have the impression that look like the same decor but it is bécause he use clothes from his brand that He created (brand : mosart I think).. so the look seems similar
I didn't like his music a few years ago. Then I watched "bloqués" where I saw him on a different angle... For now I'm still not a huge fan, but I like some of his songs.
You should listen to the song "Quand c'est" which is a freaking incredible song, it gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. Stromae really is an artist !
Always so many references in his videos. In this video he's actually dressed very much like Mobutu, the ruler of the 'Democratic Republic of Congo' in central Africa, a former Belgian colony which was ruled by this dictator after independence from Belgium from 1965 until 1997. As Stromae's father was from neighbouring Rwanda (another former Belgian colony) this reference surely is not a coincidence. He's got a new video out today by the way... first new release in 8 years!... you can find it here ruclips.net/video/P3QS83ubhHE/видео.html
Hélas dans les boites en France ( d'ailleurs les vraies boites disparaissent ) ça met pas des chansons qui meriteraient d y être... on a des mauvais DJ :/

Is this real? Oh my gosh, this news makes me so happy TT

"Running man" was somewhat a copy of the 1983 French film "Le prix du danger". It was directed by Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky).

Agreed, the video is pure art
You could try to listen Orelsan musics, it's a different type of music but it's really an original type of rap
