Je pense que j'ai réagit comme lui en ce jour de juin 1986 ou j'ai entendu pour la première fois ce titre a la radio, je me souviens du frisson que j'ai ressenti au premier refrain ,j'avais 12 ans et je me souviens avoir penser que cette chanson n'était pas comme les autres, elle est entré la semaine suivante directement 4 eme au top 50 canal+ pour prendre la première place 7 jours plus tard et ne plus la quitter jusque mi octobre 4 mois plus tard âpres 13 semaines a la première place, cela fait 36 ans cette année je ressens toujours autant de plaisir a l'entendre aujourd'hui, elle passe dans toutes les soirees de france!!

I clicked on this one by curiosity and of course, I remember this song! hi Dereck, the singer Mario has a great voice and I used to see him when I was a kid. He was the husband of my grand mother's neighbor. They come from my hometown Toulouse. In the 80's a lot of great artists came from Toulouse with hits. Amongst them there was a band named Gold which the singer Emile paired with Images covering both bands hits.

I was just a kid in the 80's so there are a lot of song titles/artists I can't remember but recognize right away in the first seconds of listening. I think all of us who have lived through the 80's want to take that time machine and never come back to the future. It was such a magical era.
hi Dereck, the singer Mario has a great voice and I used to see him when I was a kid. He was the husband of my grand mother's neighbor. They come from my hometown Toulouse. In the 80's a lot of great artists came from Toulouse with hits. Amongst them there was a band named Gold which the singer Emile paired with Images covering both bands hits.
The black nail's pianist is to illustrate the 'midnight demon' (song title).
The 'Midnight demon' is a french expression to symbolise the desire to make party all the night.

This song was released 5 years before I was born, but I grew up with it like most of the 90s French kids. Even today's generation knows this song. I have like 5 different versions of it, needless to say it's my favorite song ever. 3 seconds in, I'm already gone 😂

You should watch one of their current lives of the same song. After nearly 40 years they hit the high notes even better and they perform better. That's quite impressive. I used to hate that sound because heard too many times but I saw them few months ago on TV and they slayed it.

Most french people are still nostalgic with 80s music (the best times ;) ), and still nowadays, those hits are still played in private parties (or public muscal events). You can be sure that this title will be played if the DJ goes for a 80s series. I've been DJing since the 90s, and all generations love this song, our parents, our kids, everyong shake his(her) butt whenever this disc is played.

Funny detail: at 8’10’´ or so, you pronounce 3 Times « gold », which is precisely the name of another French band from the 80s. Gold produced a bunch of mega hits in France (significantly more than « Image ») but guess what: the lead vocal singer from Gold formed the band « Émile et Image » (which you mention earlier) with the « Image » band. Listen to Gold, you will certainly like it. Pure synth pop, though more melodic and less rythmic than this one by Image. Great job once again, Thank you!

Aujourd'hui, 2 membres du groupe "Image" continue de chanter en compagnie de Emile, ancien chanteur du goupe Gold. Les 2 groupes venaient de la même ville et avaient du succès en même temps. Maintenant, ils chantent leurs chansons en commun.
Je conseille donc d'essayer des chansons du groupe Gold. Pour le son, on appelait ça le son de "Toulouse", celui de leur ville d'origine.
