The video I’ve always wanted to see you make, thank you so much your taste is immaculate
Great list but I would include some other picks like:
Blond - Frank Ocean
The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest
Loveless - My Bloody Valentine
MGMT - My Little Dark Age
The Big Fish Theory - Vince Staples
Toxicity - System of A Down
"Awaken, My Love!" - Childish Gambino
The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Currents - Tame Impala
The Forever Story - JID
TA13OO or Melt My Eyez See Your Future - Denzel Curry
but that's just my opinion don't take it too seriously
P.S I FORGOR ATROCITY EXHIBITION
“TA13OO or Melt My Eyez See Your Future”. Both. Both is good
@@lemightystick yeah they're both amazing so I didn't knew wich one I should choose
idk if id pick that MGMT album- it wasnt rlly something they wanted to make- i like congratulations more personally
BUT TOXICITY HELL YEAH
post scriptum post scriptum. he gotta listen to Mac
I love awaken my love and my little dark age
I’ve started a master list of albums that I plan on giving a good listen to and I’m sure some of these are on there already, but I’ve been looking for some especially post-2010 stuff so tysm for this video 🤗🤗❤❤
this list is amazing, thank you
the description you gave for some rap songs is so bizarre yet you perfectly described the sounds of the album, an organism of inconsistent breathing and sounds, hip hops homunculus.
thanks for many great recommendations ❤
Love all the albums that you mentioned that Ive checked out. One that I’d personally put up there as a must listen is Loveless by My Bloody Valentine. Mind blowing album
elusin mentioned i love it
great video and great takes🔥
Make more videos like this
say please

Bro put me on to mid-air thief w an old craig green vid. Bless for these recs too.
RAMONA BY KILL BILL THE RAPPER MENTIONED WTF IS A BAD ALBUM 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣
I knew his list was gunna be insane since I heard the slint outro
where’s the slint outro? timestamp?
@@callumpearson2061 it’s not in this video but washer is the outro to most of his videos
Some Rap Songs #1 has earned my sub
Prob paused the vid 100 times to go to Apple Music and back
Solid list. Was worried you were only gonna have albums from 2000-20s, but you had a good mix.
thanks for so many recs i never even heard of,,,even though i listen to ratings-core music
also it's HWH EIGHT by westside gunn
also surprised to see more newer albums,,,for me i have a bias AGAINST newer albums for some reason
You have goid taste my friend, good to see SRS at no.1
Would've loved to see The Downward Spiral from Nine Inch Nails, just a hard-hitting, unerving concept album, but a great list still!
Thanks for introducing this older guy to some music I'm unfamiliar with, maybe half in the 21-100 range.
crazy you have 90% of my favorite albums on here
wow there is so many albums that sound exactly like i would have loved them at some point in my life but didnt know till now
Damn bro thanks for recommendations! How do find these albums though I don’t get it
one i would add to the list is the ghostpop tape, by devon hendryx aka peggy. such a crazy vibe i havent heard replicated in another project. also wouldve been nice to have bjork on here
ghost pop tape best album ever
amazing recommendations👍
My God that is a sick top 10!! Great taste
no way he has my taste
Karsten if this video blows up i will literally have to remake my entire taste because 40 of these albums are my favourites of all time and i love the other 60
major respect having title fight on this
is it possible to get the full list in order of this video in text form? has anybody made that?
This is one of the most valid lists I've ever seen
You have some pretty good taste dude. The albatross by foxing is so underrated, one of my 10s for sure. and Spiderland is my favorite out of everything, that album changed my life.
I'll keep comings back to this vid to listen in batches
this list is goated bruh
instantly presed like button when you mentioned nighlife by yuragi, best shoegaze japanese album imo
Really nice video, I skipped through a bit of it but it was good.
If you like Boldy James definitely listen to Manger on MicNichols, it’s one of the best hip hop albums I’ve ever listened to
bro i absolutely love Boldy but could never get behind the hype for that album it's odd, I understand it's abstract but idk
the fact that you have drive like jehu in the thumbnail is crazy (I'm staring at the vinyl rn) RIP Rick Froberg
if you want some suggestions, I didn't mean to Haunt you by Quadeca is a phenomenal one. The production and storytelling is just so friggin good
Elusin is so good. Very slept on
the taste is insane
for a week ive been picking a random album that i dont know from this list and so far bro you did not miss
which ones did you listen to?
@@coleintheville117 just let go brah, theres 100 albums here youre bound to find something you like. dont try to be like others and discover what the universe want you to hear
@@yetislasagna7487 I think he was just curious what he listened to
a lot good classics out here
unknown pleasures by joy division is definitely one of my favourite albums of all time!! can only agree with you, give it a listen:)
SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED YANK CRIME. It's definately an intense listen, but man those guitar chords are LIFE CHANGING.
Bro SRS at #1 floored me. Thank you that album is an impeccable masterpiece.
Theres this neat album called Obey by Brainbombs. Y‘all should try to maybe pop some acid and give it a listen from front to back in a dark and isolated room
Hearing Death Grips and MF DOOM for your background in the first 2 minutes, I knew I was in for a treat.
when i saw title fight on thumbnail i knew it was gonna be good
ur the real one for putting slint up there fr
So happy to see Earl at number 1! Fantastic album
The Glow, Pt. 2 not being on here is insane
Brass is severely underrated, really opened my eyes to new sounds
you should def check out mavi if you havent already. very similar to earl but still different in a way. Let the sun talk is such an experience
dope video concept, keep killing it kk
goated list
Great list! How about 20/50/100 books you need to read?
Great recommendations can’t wait to hear For Emma forever ago
Some rap songs at 1 is wild but amazing. I think riot! Is genuinely one of the greatest songs of all time, especially in the context of that album
No Burial - Untrue or Daft Punk - Random Access Memories / Discovery?
No Frank mention is unreal
not everyone has to like frank
@@J.L3259 but everyone should listen to at the very least nights. That beat switch is unironically generational
0:50
i don't think Frank Sinatra has a definitive album for a list like this tho
@@rbntllyI think hes talking abt frank ocean?
I like your list a lot, and although we disagree on a number of things (Radiohead, Kanye, etc), I think it shows what I believe to be the true indicator of taste: spending the time and having the commitment to finding what you really like as opposed to stopping at what's spoonfed to you.
There's a lot I'd love to make commentary on, but I don't want to make this comment too long. Given what you said about the Slint album, I'd be curious what you thought of Squirrel Bait (who wrote some amazing, I guess pop punk? check the S/T) some of whose members would go on to be in Slint, and Rodan "Rusty" which is also from Louisville and in the Slint soundscape.
Plenty more I'd love to discuss, but for now I'll hit the like/subscribe and listen.
P.S. Hamburger Lady was a hit man!
nice list id also suggest lil ugly mane - oblivion access, bladee - eversince, corbin - mourn and tvu - white light white heat
What a fantastic list you have great taste in music
Some rap songs at number 1 you really sold me now
what about channel orange or blonde? i think both those albums are unique in the way they tell stories and how frank creates these amazing songs with beat switches and pitched uo vocals i think atleast blonde belonged on this listen if not in the top 10
finally someone who uses the correct album art for Unknown Pleasures
If swans arent here we riot
Great vid
Crumbling by Mid Air Thief is one of the few albums I'd give a 10/10. Out of this world album.
I remember Listening to SRS the day It dropped During my PE class and I really Never thought it was anything Special. I loved Doris and Earl and I cannot understand the Hype behind the album whatsoever
you have great taste
23:48 FINALLY someone who acknowledges Fleshwater and their wonderful debut album! Great list btw
I didn’t see it on the list, but I just wanna throw out for those folk lovers yellow house by Grizzly Bear is a solid album through and through and just a very beginning spring vibe
Is Revolver on here?
Your taste is badass
This Armand Hammer album was my favorite from last year
Nice list not having Kid A hurts me but still good list
Where is Aja? Where is Gaucho? Note I haven’t seen the bud yet I’m just assuming they aren’t here
I’m glad J Dilla is being heard of nowadays. Side note: I believe we all heard of all these mainstream albums. Rarely is there one that isn’t known much. Good vid tho
I love how you I cooperate all moods and every mood
elusin mentioned🎉
new karsten to follow
Surprised not to see any mention of Nine inch nails Downward spiral. Unless I missed it
You should do more music content, you are very good at describing the feeling and sound of an album.
i didn't think yank crime would be on your list but damn
ELUSIN MENTIONED HOLY SHIT THANK YOU FOR RECOGNIZING HOW GOOD SYNFUELS IS
i have the yuragi casette. one of my most prized possessions ❤
