Any chance of adding the ability to temporarily unlink the video and audio? I record via OBS so sometimes my audio is just a bit out of sync. I always backup record the audio, but it would be nice to just be able to temporarily unsync the audio and video track move and then resync.
Yeah this would be cool! It's on my list of things to do. I'm working on some timeline changes right now that should make this possible, along with a bunch of other typical timeline things like manual cuts & trims. Not sure when it'll be done yet though.
@@RecutApp Wondering when this is happening. recorded using QuickTime on Mac and it created a delay from the mic and the camera 🙄 So when cutting it looks wrong. my fault but would be great to detach audio from video and auto syncing with the Multicam beta.
@@JohnPaulMusicUK The update with the manual cuts is verrry close now, and though that has paved the way for unlinking, I don't think unlinking and auto sync will make it into this update. Probably in the next one.
Hi, I'm considering buying Recut. I have three questions: 1. Do you have a prediction of when the sync will be active? 2. Will it accept multicameras? 3. If I buy now, will I get the upgrade?
Hey! 1. Not sure yet, I’ve made some progress but there are still things to work out. 2. Yep you can put multiple cameras + audio files on the timeline. Currently only stacked on top of each other and not next to each other (working on that!). 3. Yes, almost all upgrades are included. These ones will be for sure. Some transcription-based stuff coming soon will probably be a paid add-on.
@@RecutApp Right. I tested here and Im planning to do a review for Brazilian editors (I have another channel about tech and edit stuff, specially Davinci). Can I sugest one feature? Insert a "import XML". That way, I can align in Davinci, export XML, send it to Recut, cut silence and than, came back to Davinci already clean! Cheers and great software that you have.
@@RecutAppdo you know where we would notice of the sync feature? Also, anyway to keep the multicam feature in FCP? When I export it stacks all of my angles on top of each other. Would like to work inside the MC workflow in FCP
Btw i love the software! Inam having an issue when exporting a fcpxml with both audio source's and the video. It seems that it is only importing the audio and not the video.
Right now everything is snapped to a video frame boundary. I'm working on some updates to make it possible to detach the audio from the video and move it independently in smaller increments. If any of your videos are a higher framerate, add those to the timeline first - it will set the timeline framerate based on the first one added, and a higher framerate will give you higher resolution to move things around for now.
Thank you!! This was the exact bit of help i needed!
Awesome, glad it helped!
This was so helpful thank you!
Nicely explained too
that was very helpful thank you
Thank you!

Thank you! I have an affiliate program too, if you’re interested (shoot me an email dave at getrecut com). I’m planning to add a sync feature too.

How to you make it 100% accurate when lining up? Whats the point of getting it close to be off slightly?
