I just read a novel Ghost Platoon where some Marines built their own JDAM like smart mortars and guided them in with quadcopters with targeting system. Badass book!

Also, the armoured trucks provide cover in the 34 min vid he tells someone from the armoured battalion that they're "Also towards the N.East." They have Acogs they can see more than the camera, the camera also makes things look father than they appear. But yes, at that distance its very hard to make out targets with rifles it more of shooting where you hear the enemy shots.
