Using standard brass-casing 5.56×45mm NATO ammunition employed by other armies can create over-pressure and case ruptures in the FAMAS during extraction, which can lead to severe malfunction.... Problem is that the production of ammunition in france stopped in 1999... so the french army runs with NATO ammo. We bought from USA Germany Italia Brasil Swiss etc etc all to favorise international trading that's why the famas malfunction alot. We lost our own weapon / ammo production in the name of globalism, that's fucked up if you ask me.

That’ll be Phillip and Auetoef. They were the combat film crew. Most of this footage shows the French Army along side the legion in the Tagab Valley, Kapisa Province 2009-2011. I partied with these dudes in the valley. Drank Genevieve and watched rugby. The dude who wired up the tv was a fat mechanic called Cache Cache but I was told to call him truck. there is a french short film called "R.A.S" which i believe may be based off of or inspired by this footage, as the setting and conflict is very similar. it is an amazing animation in my opinion and truly does show how terrifying it can be to go from constant sitting and waiting to the edge of death. the FFL is no joke.
I own a similar combat pack and that is actually the interior high visibility material so one can find gear in low light conditions. The packs are unzipped and open in a fire fight and not recommended in my opinion.

But when that self criticism turns into a detracting aspect that has affected every NATO army, I do agree that people realize that it takes the insurance of a modern military like France’s to ensure that this highly developed society of self criticism can even exist in the first place. So ultimately the military and the people feed each other.

This looks like a training video. Given the right tools and equipment they probably get, the French Foreign Legion has some motivational reasons for individuals that join. They work with what they have and they pull from a group of "either you go to prison, or you join the Legion".

These guys are hardcore I’ve experienced a small part of them..while on a flight from Paris to Sydney via Djakarta there were 250 of them on my plane on their way to Noumea,I was the only civilian. Was 1987 and back then was UTA airline they were throwing buns at each other and laughing,grabbing the beautiful stewardesses on the bum constantly. The guy next to me was a Swede at least 6’4” and hands like cabbages who helped me cut up my food as my arm was in a sling. You could feel the sense of camaraderie between them and also a feeling of don’t muck with them because that would be the last thing you’d ever do

My buddy was discharged from the USMC, so he learned French and joined the Foreign Legion. He’s now been there for longer than he was a Marine.

That’ll be Phillip and Auetoef. They were the combat film crew. Most of this footage shows the French Army along side the legion in the Tagab Valley, Kapisa Province 2009-2011. I partied with these dudes in the valley. Drank Genevieve and watched rugby. The dude who wired up the tv was a fat mechanic called Cache Cache but I was told to call him truck. FOB Kutschbach - pour toujours la brise pour toujour avec moi.

there is a french short film called "R.A.S" which i believe may be based off of or inspired by this footage, as the setting and conflict is very similar. it is an amazing animation in my opinion and truly does show how terrifying it can be to go from constant sitting and waiting to the edge of death. the FFL is no joke.

Not much, that is for friendly air support not to shot at you...so most of us had those but a only a couple needed to have them out.

US does something similar in a different context. We call it the "Moses Pole".
I own a similar combat pack and that is actually the interior high visibility material so one can find gear in low light conditions. The packs are unzipped and open in a fire fight and not recommended in my opinion.

This looks like a training video. Given the right tools and equipment they probably get, the French Foreign Legion has some motivational reasons for individuals that join. They work with what they have and they pull from a group of "either you go to prison, or you join the Legion".
I'm pretty sure it is a training video. Who attacks the hill from such an open position? I served 2 years in Afghanistan and know a thing or two. There was no real firefight there.

These guys are hardcore I’ve experienced a small part of them..while on a flight from Paris to Sydney via Djakarta there were 250 of them on my plane on their way to Noumea,I was the only civilian. Was 1987 and back then was UTA airline they were throwing buns at each other and laughing,grabbing the beautiful stewardesses on the bum constantly. The guy next to me was a Swede at least 6’4” and hands like cabbages who helped me cut up my food as my arm was in a sling. You could feel the sense of camaraderie between them and also a feeling of don’t muck with them because that would be the last thing you’d ever do
