It's time for more co-op PS2 action in todays title, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2. My sister joins me in Beating EVERY PS2 Game with game #47, and we had a blast! Although the game isn't as good as I remember it to be, it's still worth a playthrough.

I don't think that figure you gave about the total amount of games for the PS2 makes sense. Considering the console was region locked, I think the US "only" has around 2000 games available to the region. Are you somehow planning to beat the obtuse and overt Japanese-only games too?
JP PS2 and PAL PS2 for games stuck on those regions?

I'm actually following a video here on youtube called The Playstation 2 Project. They calculated 4,218 unique games were made for the console across all regions. I'll play every single one they included! It's obviously going to be impossible, but I'm most interested in how far I CAN get.
