I recently bought a Founder's Edition GTX 980 from Ebay for $60 with free shipping. The seller was nice enough to deep clean and apply new thermal compound as well. I have it as my backup GPU. It is 4 GB but it's decent for the price. Good enough for PS4/Xbox One era gaming.
Its a display adapter to pair with CPUs that don't have built in GPUs like the gt 710 was. It was OEM only and you know AMD bundled these with Ryzen CPUs to OEM for BOM cost.
the RX 6300 is a better card, and not just slightly. It's basically an RX 6400 (a card that is about as fast as the GTX 1650) but with a slash to its RAM and Memory Bus, giving it 2 GB of RAM and a 32 bit bus, while the RX 6400 has 4GB of RAM and a 64 bit bus
hell its miles better than a ddr4 gt1030. I own one and even its counter part the rx550 is 33 percent faster due to the memory system alone. the 6300 smokes it

In all fairness though a lot of people refuse to buy from AliExpress and other online Chinese retailers due to safety concerns. I've had positive experiences buying CPUs and RAM from AliExpress but I've never had the occasion to buy a GPU, although some of those 580 deals I've seen are enticing. At the right price I'd be tempted to pick up the 6300 for a budget build just to test it out.

They're OEM cards they use when you select options for extra display outputs on some HP and Dell SFF business/office/workstation pcs, not something designed for gaming.
It is like 5700G APU performance, but much cheaper. I am playing Heroes Might and Magic III, it is captivating, hours fly by without I am noticing. Will play Space Crew soon, now free from Steam. my RX 570 fans rarely spinning these days, fast GPU is irrelevant to me now.
This card was outsourced by AMD for Dell. It's RX 6400 worked around to bring power rating to around 30W (it's 32W exactly) to match low power PSU's of 180/200/240W. It supports all resolutions at 60Hz, the GPU is 2 generations above NVidia's GT 1030 (30W),14qn vs 4 or 6 qn. Nobody gave a toss about gaming here, just support of all resolutions at low power consumption.
It's got the same display controller as 6400 and 6500 which both are also horrendous cards. I don't think anyone is pretending the primary use of a oem channel only 30w card is actually gaming, but it's a dissapointing card nonetheless
You neither have to change desktop resolution or play in window mode, just make the right changes in Adrenaline software. In Graphics should be SuperResolution when activated new options pop up, change those to fullscreen accept for the last one I think and don´t forgett to max out image sharpening when using SR. That way you can simply switch to 720p in game and keep fullscreen.
Just a quick tip, CS2 (Unlike CS:GO) is more GPU bound/reliant. Thanks to the improved graphics I guess lol. I have a R3 3100 and a 1650, I just lock it to 60 fps in order to have it match the 60hz my monitor can handle lol. Although I do play on low settings on 1080p and even then it knows to drop below 80fps for whatever reason if I leave the framerate unlocked. CS:GO ran much smoother as I was able to run max settings on 1080p above 144fps, but even then drops happened occasionally. Guess I'll just have to upgrade after summer to something more in line with modern 1080p gaming.
With Intel integrated graphics improving very quickly these days with the Arc tech slowly going into them, and with AMD integrated graphics being low-end-card quality for a few years now - I'm not really sure what these cards are targeted at. At £60, I really don't .....
As a PCIe AMD's most power fully pus powered card its directly competitors from nVidia are the GTX1650 4GB and RTX3050 6GB. Which I on both of and both kick this cards as from a performance point of view and the 1650 can be picked up second hand for about the same price as this card. The RTX3050 6GB is a very misleading card from a naming point of view, but does offer about a 50% performance uplift over the 1650 in the games I have tested on my card so £165 I was very happy with my purchase. But if low power and SFF systems are not what you are wanting one of these cards for their are lots of better performing cards, but if emulation and media centre use for simalr money to a Raspberry Pi5 8GB complete system on an x86 platform is your goal the RX 6300 and AMD or Intel budget CPU/motherboard combo without an onboard GPU this could be very good option.

In a short term - it is an Radeon 680M iGPU, but with dedicated GDDR6 instead of memory shared DDR5... but here we got only 2GB of dedicated VRAM while we can allocate like 4GB with 680M

My only gripe with it, is that the predecessor (RX 5300) has so much more power than the RX 6300. I was going to review the RX 6300 similar to how you have, but I much rather waste my time and money on a card like the RX 5300 considering you could argue it could be a much better AAA taste test choice of a GPU then the measly RX 6300. In my country this ting is a beast you can buy an i7 from 3rd gen for 70 dolars and this thing for less than 30 bucks (in my contry the best you can get for that is a 730 or a random 750ti) and get a under 100 dolar build that can run most of the games out

Ok, this is sad to see that the GTX 1070 I sold to a friend of mine is able to run God of War maxed out at 1920x1080 resolution with a solid 60 FPS and this thing couldn't push to 24 FPS on lowest settings? That is both sad and pathetic.
It is still a functional, if slooow, videocard. So, yeah in a small rig this might just do. But it all depends on how well your IGP is. Or APU! If you got an decent APU/IGP it might not be worth it.
I want to find one of these and do the most cursed VRAM mod I can manage. The only thing I could do to be worse than the 4GB/32bit idea is to find a 3GB GDDR6 IC and slap that on instead.

For CAD work that just wants any dedicated hardware for rendering acceleration it can be a decent idea, but even Intel's latest iGPUs are actually not complete trash for that anymore either.

This is basically an emulation GPU for a small low powered system running something like Batocera. Will handle classic console games up to 4k. Not worth 60 quid though, 15-20 would be fair enough. It's very close to the 680m APUs in terms of overall performance.
You can run Batocera on Intel 4th gen HD4600 iGPU. What benefits would this hunka hunka burning e-waste provide? A separate memory pool for framebuffer, perhaps? That's about all I can think of. It would suck LESS.

I have a rx6300 (paid way more than I should) of these and you can undervolt it in corectrl to 25w and still get most of the performance. Currently using mine as a live TV DVR encoder/decoder. Does a pretty good job. When paired with a N100 cpu, it's only drawing 13-15w of power. Granted this is 720p video, and won't get real-time encoding if I went to 1080p though

RX 6500 and under doesn't have a hardware encoder, but OK... intel QSV might work though. You're probably actually using the CPU if you can't transcode 1080p realtime @@Vekstar
It wouldn't matter at all for this class of GPU. Any modern CPU will run circles around this little guy. My own low-end testbench still uses an 10600K with a 5ghz OC which keeps up wit the likes of the 3060 and below just fine.

HD3200 used only 32bit bus width and it was terrible.

It's even worse than that. AMD IGPs back then had to use 16bit Hypertransport to access memory, so on that Turion the maximum bandwidth was 3.2GB/s

Could be that those games were recorded in HDR and weren't adjusted for in editing

This is basically an emulation GPU for a small low powered system running something like Batocera. Will handle classic console games up to 4k. Not worth 60 quid though, 15-20 would be fair enough. It's very close to the 680m APUs in terms of overall performance.
You can run Batocera on Intel 4th gen HD4600 iGPU. What benefits would this hunka hunka burning e-waste provide? A separate memory pool for framebuffer, perhaps? That's about all I can think of. It would suck LESS.
@@SeeJayPlayGames well fot one thing, it's half the power of a hd4600. I have a rx6300 (paid way more than I should) of these and you can undervolt it in corectrl to 25w and still get most of the performance.
Currently using mine as a live TV DVR encoder/decoder. Does a pretty good job. When paired with a N100 cpu, it's only drawing 13-15w of power.
Granted this is 720p video, and won't get real-time encoding if I went to 1080p though
It's not an "emulation GPU" it's eWaste.
@@SeeJayPlayGames I'm well aware of that, having done so myself. But it isn't without it's problems on integrated graphics with limited scaling on some emulators and unplayable games on others.
RX 6500 and under doesn't have a hardware encoder, but OK... intel QSV might work though. You're probably actually using the CPU if you can't transcode 1080p realtime @@Vekstar

It wouldn't matter at all for this class of GPU. Any modern CPU will run circles around this little guy. My own low-end testbench still uses an 10600K with a 5ghz OC which keeps up wit the likes of the 3060 and below just fine.
