Thank you for answering the question about the discount plants, the reason I asked about the discounts about plants is because I follow you for a few years now and I see how generous you are and you even share plants from your garden, I wish you the best and I will keep watching you because you are very relatable and your interactions feels real and it is appreciated 😊
I have a Mona plectranthus! I bought it as an unmarked plant with no flowers. I fell in love with the leaves and bought it for that reason alone. The flowers were a bonus! I've had mine about 4 years as well and move it into my flower house to overwinter in zone 6. This past fall I've started more rooting stems in water.
13:48 Thank you so much Yuliya for giving me wonderful ideas and even designing the mixed border hedge! You gave me exactly what I needed. Before I was just thinking of straight rows of plants. The suggestion of opening is also great. Loved your design and will try to replicate it. Much appreciate your help and creativity and the design is beautiful!
Would love love love to have you design my backyard in a video, as you mentioned at the beginning of this video ❤. Your design process video series has been so helpful already but I need a master plan to work from over the coming years.
You are a gift to gardeners. Thank you so much for all you do. This was a super helpful video. I appreciate your words about free plants and love to hear your recommendations.
Wow, I’ve never heard of Fall Dig Hazard, and just bought from Home Depot and planted a River Birch from a 3-gallon pot that I could tell had been there for quite a while. Does the Fall Dig Hazard apply to only digging up and transplanting, or also to planting from trees in pots?
First time hearing of Fall Dig Hazard. Please let us know how we can submit a garden challenge that you might consider answering or designing. I have a raised concrete planting area perhaps 7x14 in front of my house which I would love to redesign, I currently have a cottage style planting with a hodgepodge of plants, I would very much like to streamline the plantings to make it more minimalist with repetition and all season interest. This was so helpful, watching you is always a teaching moment. Thank you
This is such a great video! Even though I’m in the Central Valley in California, zone 9 where we are hot and dry, I always learn something new from you. I’m trying to go more native, but it’s challenging when most of the native plants go dormant in summer. Also, I just placed an order with Great Garden Plants! I've never ordered plants online and found them searching the web. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they arrive.
I also garden whole year round because I live in Los Angeles. I'm slowly removing my summer annuals to replace with my winter annuals; primrose, cyclamens, and poppies.
I love your encouraging, informative videos! Sadly, I missed the notification to ask questions! If there's still a chance, do you or any of your viewers have a gardening tool belt you really love? For decades, I've been wandering around with trowels, shears, hori knife, plant ties, etc. stuffed in my waistband. Ridiculous, but I keep doing it because when I search for tool belts they all have such mixed reviews. Any recommendations?
Thank you so much for all of your videos. You are blessed with a wonderful talent which I am not. And in addition to that lack I am confronted with a horrible soil in my garden. So my idea is to put the plants in containers with good soil. But what to do with perennials in winter time? Do I have to protect them? I live in zone 8. This would be my question for the next Q & A session.
I am in zone 6 along the Ohio river in Cincinnati and have several Colocasia's in containers. Last winter I stored them in boxes. I am working on a basement plant room and would like to keep them growing this winter. What type of lighting do you suggest for inside growth? I am starting a bit early due to the residual effects of hurricane Helene. We have experienced a summer drought and suddenly. heavy storms brought 5-6 inches of rain over a weekend.
Love your garden. Do you provide a consultation sessions to help finalize a garden design? I have done only a half of the yard and got stock. No more ideas. 😊 Thank you!
Thank you for your honesty and all of your tips ... so nice of you to make up a diagram just to answer a viewer question. ❤
I dont think you realize what a blessing you are! Thank you so much for everything ❤️

Only digging and transplanting, if they are already in pots you can plant 😊

Yes! I just discovered her from another garden channel! 😄
Yes! I’d love to hear your design ideas for my garden! I think my plants are getting tired of being moved. 😅
I also garden whole year round because I live in Los Angeles. I'm slowly removing my summer annuals to replace with my winter annuals; primrose, cyclamens, and poppies.

I don’t have a tool belt myself and on the hunt. Will let you know if I find something 😁

Great question. Make sure the perennials are related two zones lower, so zone 6 and you can overwinter in pots 😁
Job well done

What a wonderful mixed border design! Is there any way you could post a pdf as I’m getting a message that says “unsupported file type”?

Hello what’s the name of the professional program that you use?
Sketchup 😊
@@ydoyougardenthank you. I have sketchup so I’m a bit familiar with how to use it, but I’ll look into a pro account.
