Its overly complex.. You dont need to go to that much trouble to cut an angle. You only need to make a cut in scrap, angle your angle marks to the cut on the guide board then screw/tape or glue your board and cut not even moving the fence...
Question: the piece of wood that you cut for your saw channel was longer than the bolt slots on both ends. Should those be cut out for the bolts to slide end to end?
They don’t need to be cut out. The bolt head can slide end to end because of the slot that was cut for the head. The head is basically recessed in the main board.

But I dont have a router table.. Come to think of it I dont have a table saw... Oh-well back to the handheld
