Im so happy you talked about your scalp - the itchiness, the sores and the bleeding. I have the same problems and I was starting to think I need to wash my hair every alternate day as opposed to on days 4 and 5.
Yeah it sucks and so far the solution has been wash every other day. Not sure if I should see a dermatologist for it? It's under control if I wash often but why did this change happen? I'd love to get to the root cause. I hope yours improves as well.
I have to wash every other day as well & I use stronger shampoos. I’ve tried the lo poo or cowash and my scalp hates it! I think bc I’m an oily girl plus if I add products it just makes it all worse. I will use bond builders and I really like the maya chia mane agent. Kind if expensive, but a little goes a long way. It’s a super lightweight leave in and bond builder. I’ve noticed even my ends look better. So I feel like I can wet and wash my scalp more while protecting my lengths. But seriously, I’m jealous of the girls who can go a week! I’ve tried everything and at this point washing more and clarifying my scalp is what works for me!
Please see a dermatologist. Hate to break it to you but itching, bleeding and sores are not normal and probably indicate a fungal infection or an inflammatory condition. Washing more often may keel the symptoms down but you can still lose hair from the damage to your follicles.
I have the exact same hair type so I appreciate your product videos so much! I was looking for a fragrance free hairspray option so I’m definitely going to try that Suave one
I also have an itchy scalp but no sores or bleeding. I began washing my hair every other day and my scalp is so much happier. I use a shampoo I bought on Amazon from Attitude. It is a volume shampoo for thinning hair and dry itchy scalp, with no fragrance. Lathers beautifully. I also use Jesse Curl Spiralisous gel with no fragrance. Love fragrance free products! .
I thought I was crazy that I can’t get most Curlsmith stuff to work for me. The hydro jelly is a winner though. I’ll go find your other Curlsmith video. Im in FL as well. Thank you!
Thanks for the thorough review of the products! What is the difference between hair serum and hair oils? Do I need to buy both? I have argan oil and I use it for my dry frizzy day.
I have scalp psoriasis. Do you think thats what you have as well? From your symptoms sounds similar. I definitely that companies overdue scent. I hate it as well. Gonna try that va va voom, I love voluminous hair.
Hi! This video was very helpful, thank you! Do you ever use the Suave Max hold hairspray on your hair prior to diffusing❓I have overly soft hair and I have done this with other hairsprays, so curious to know if you’ve used this one in that way. Thanks!
@@HolisticEnchilada I’m definitely going to give this one a try then, as I’ve been looking for a good unscented hairspray to use before diffusing. Thank you!
Hola Delaila, love your video. You mentioned that on the days you don’t style after washing, the next day you have to use leave in because you’re rewetting your hair. Can you explain that further? Why does rewetting need the leave in? My hair is curly (maybe 2c) and if I don’t rewet every morning it’s hard to get the ringlets back. Would I need to use it every rewetting day? I can go 3-4 days without fulling washing. Thank you and sorry if that was all too much info 😂
I do it because my hair is literally like when people say a rat's nest. I don't brush it and go to bed, so it dries all rough, crazy, and tangled. So when I wet it I have to detangle which I can only do with leave in. So it's just for the slip. You only need to add it when refreshing if your hair is dry. Does that help?
Hi! I love your channel and blog so much. I have hair similar to yours. As I've been growing it longer, it just falls so flat. I saw a recent video of yours saying you only use 1 product most of the time. My hair really likes creams even though they can weigh down. In the past, you've recommended the Evolh total control styling creme. They put a lot of essential oils in their products and my scalp is sensitive, so I'm hesitant to try it. Can you recommend something similar that has fewer "natural" ingredients like essential oils? Thank you@
@@HolisticEnchilada Ideally most essential oils since those are skin irritants. Fragrance free is preferred, but I can't for the life of me find any good fragrance free products for fine, curly hair. Curlsmith Shine line is much too heavy and I don't trust DevaCurl. I've also tried SEEN and it was not great. Thank you!
@@HolisticEnchilada Oh and Treluxxe FF didn't work in my hair. Jessicurl stopped working for me. I think they changed their formulas. Some of their "no fragrance'" contains essential oils and other extracts.
I love your channel! Boy though, that Malibu C shampoo is pretty toxic. I use Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Clarifying shampoo (have you tried that?) It has sulfates, which is a deep cleanse. My scalp is allergic to the cocomidopropyl betaine & the artificial fragrances in Malibu C. Also, I avoid all guars & polyquats in shampoos that touch my scalp because it clogs follicles. Polyquats, silicones and coconut oil on my scalp make me get hair loss. I need a deep clean every time I wash my hair, and the Desert Essence Clarifying works well. Anyway, maybe try it, since I know you like natural products as long as they work well. Its only $10 on amazon. Blessings and thanks for your content! ❤

It's possible. I haven't really looked into it but I probably should.
Me too, (it's embarrassing) thank you for asking 💖

Yes I do! I usually spray it on just before diffusing, then again after I'm done.

I thought you didn’t use leave in conditioner?
I usually don't. I use it when I have to fully rewet my hair to style so I can detangle.

Is it just essential oils you want to avoid, but fragrances are ok?

I haven't tried that one but I might. That's a good price. Thanks for sharing!
