I’m surprised nobody mentioned Feebass who can evolve with having a high Beauty stat or Galarian Yanmask where it needs to have sustained 49 damage, yet still be alive, and then you have to run under a random rock arch in the middle of the wild area (the game never tells you anything about how to evolve it IIRC)
Funny story about all these playground rumours, there is actually a way to get new by catching 1000 Bidoof as filling out the pokemon Ranch does in fact get you a mew in diamond and pearl, no that's not a joke
not sure if the letter stickers are still a thing, as i'm typing this while watching rt put as many stickers as possible on one ball as soon as he got said stickers, but i remember a few years ago i found out that in diamond/pearl/platinum you could use the letter stickers to spell out curse words bc they hadn't censored them. preteen me was delighted and proceeded to make my pokemon their very own capsules with horrible words front and center.
So I was wondering how Mom could simultaneously be dad's mom AND accurately refer to him as Dad. He is his own grandfather, because Dialga exists. My headcanon is that when team galactic's Cyrus chained Dialga with the red chain in Pokemon Diamond, Dad defeated cyrus, rode dialga back in time to meet and eventually impregnate his grandmother, then, missing modern appliances, went back to the future(tm) and became his grandfather AND his grandson, but dialga broke free and freed his pokemon, so now he has to do this all over again and that's why he's grumpy.
I don't want to be spoiled on it, but on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being Sword and shield, and 10 being Black and White, where do the gen 4 remakes fall? I want to see Fanbase response before deciding to purchase.
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 personally speaking, I believe this game to be a nice mix of the old school style and some of the better parts of SWSH. The only downside I have found so far is the experience share making some fights easier.
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 personally as someone who really loved gen 4 and grew up with them, I would give this game a 2/10 , and I stopped halfway through the game due to barely improving the flaws of the originals , not adding anything of note thats new, and making some things worse for example the visuals looking worse and the easier difficulty

I chose to skip this gen since I'm short on cash and the teaser screenshots didn't really appeal to me, but no lie I'm starting to regret it just because of the mini map. Years of constantly getting lost or frustrated at the map systems in Pokemon games, and there's finally a live mini map to make sure you never get lost!
I think dan doesn’t realize that pokemon games and this remake are made by different companies, because Game freak is making Legend of Arceus while this was made by ILCA, so they don’t have Pokemon sword mechanics because; A: they probably dont have the files, & B: probably to keep to the original roots.
Probably a C or something: not allowed to be too creative. Concept art by ILCA in a promotional book shows a decently reimagined Sinnoh, with a hint of new mechanics like soaring and such. I think the Pokémon Company just didn’t let ILCA do what they wanted to do.
I’m so disappointed about the Contests being nerfed. That was my favorite part of the original game, I’d play them over and over to get top in all the categories 😭

I love diamond pearl and Platinum so much, I’m definitely biased because of rotom being my all time favourite pokemon, and the mangas being some of my favourite pieces of Pokémon media, and I hope one day I can actually.. play them

Depends on whether you liked D&P enough to shrug it off as a safe and sometimes, lazy remaster. From what I heard, it's the same game but the difficulty is spiked while removing some of the features(and not including the content of Platinum) with questionable style in terms of the character models. I'm not interested about Sinnoh to be qualified here, but I will say that Swsh isn't a bad game as I think it is. B&W remake is gonna be difficult.
As someone who started with sinnoh and loved every second of the original game, I'd rate it a 7. Theres definitely some issues like the numerous glitches but theres so many things about this game they greatly improved upon that I'd say it was worth it. The art style wasnt too hard to get used to for me, the fashion available in veilstone is really nice, and the gym and elite 4 is from what I hear, stronger then before, not babying you at every step. Hell, Cynthia's team is an actual competitive build with max ivs plus ev training. Plus, Barry is such an enjoyable rival, I adore him. Though, it's not the most faithful remake, the time it takes to save isnt anywhere near as long as before and swimming is alot faster then before lol Edit: just wanted to say that the underground also makes it so much more fun too, the digging minigame is not only fun but strategic and useful and theres so many cool pokemon you can find down there too!
Personally, I think it’s a 6-7. It plays things too safely compared to previous remakes, and it doesn’t really feel like a title worthy of the Switch. That being said, if you like the basic Pokémon formula, you’ll like these, but if you’ve already played Diamond and Pearl on the DS, there’s really not much to sustain long term interest besides nostalgia.
Ah. Guess I'm not getting the game. The contests being completely gutted, I'm somewhat... uh devastated might be a bit harsh, but I don't know how else I'm feeling right now. Severely disappointed, I guess. I live for the side content in Pokemon games, and the contests were a big thing for me in Gen 3 and 4.

IIRC, Sun/Moon/US/UM had hints on the map, and Sw/Sh also had adventure hints/map hints (though to be fair, both games are quite linear.)
