- A JBL RSW-D110 Subwoofer with a LOUD Humm/Buzz with nothing connected. I found one of the main filter capacitors was defective and needed re[placed. I replaced all of the main electrolytic capacitors, and small capacitors as well as some resoldering on the board, just to be safe.
Steve, I'm wondering why you didn't remove the old solder from the resistors and clean up the trace as well as the ends of the resistors....however, still enjoy when you drop a video.😊
John lol. James B Lansing. Was that port 3d printed? It certainly looks like it has the print lines.
Heya, nice repair vlog on component lvl niveau I see I still have a lot to learn thanks
Good Job 👍🔊
I have the JBL E250. Exact same cutout on the back of the box for the amp panel. The long screw holds a plastic box that encloses the amp so its not getting hammered by the bass inside the cabinet. Now ya know.
Nice video as always. 👍
I have a hatred for this specific era of plate amplifiers from that manufacturer. Awful.
Who makes the test leads on that ESR meter? I like them! Aside from the residual resistance they can occasionally suffer from.
That lone screw might be an earth fixing point probably used on earlier revisions or some other model
using the same Base? Err-or Chassis plate..
