LD is u can say universal player. Most of the players are universal but specialized in one area. In LD case he had it all plus great phyics and mental fortitudes. For me over 20 years of his career he rarely injured him self due to his superior technique. Now a days lot of players got so many injuries not because of they are bad some flaws in their technique. To be able to play till age 37 and stayed top 5 for over 15 years period of time is phenominal. LCW comes close second. His greatest weakness was not his skill but his mentality. It may take another 100 years to produce another complete player like LD.

The game was even tougher, shuttlecock speed is way slower , and game was much longer and yet they played like a badass. Lin dan is just crazy most players would already start to procrastinate after winning big titles, but this guy dominate badminton from 2003 to 2017. 4 olympics year in btw, simply amazing. I prefer watching lin dan playing when he slowly rely on his technique and brain to outplay his opponent since 2011. Probably we won’t be seeing another guy like this in the future

There is a reason he is called GOD of Badminton. He played till nature prohibitted him to do so.

Often u see lin Dan play aggressively during critical points and he didn’t even sweat (barely see his sweat) and he didndt even show sign of tiredness. Simply too good.
At this point in his game I think Lin Dan was one of the most unpredictable players I've ever seen in badminton, his experience & effortless play looks like that of someone that has lived several lifetimes playing the sport.
