You just made my day with this sweet comment! Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me. ❤ I’m so happy you’re enjoying the channel and finding it helpful for your future visit! Sending you big hugs and good vibes! 🤗🥰
Where does the thought come that many Thai women do not realize how adored they are from foreigners. Of course you are very well liked. Why did you think that in the beginning?
Remember. You are doing amazing. ❤ Just keep being you. I always love to see your videos. This topic made me think of a friend who experienced something with money and his girlfriend's family. He felt like he was buying her instead of being welcomed in the family. Sadly they didn't get married. And broke up their relationship. But this was years ago. And I took your advice. I'm trying to date. For the first time I used a dating app. Really scared. But I need to build more confidence. There's still that little voice in my head that is scared to feel heartbreak again. Sorry for the long text. Hope this thanks will help you with your channel. Seeing you get so emotional means that you love what you are doing. means your video has heart. ❤ Because it is awesome, just like you.
Awww Thank you so much for the kind words and support! It means a lot to hear that the videos resonate with you. I’m glad you’re taking steps to put yourself out there again-even though it can be scary, building confidence little by little is so powerful. Remember, you’re not alone in feeling that way! Wishing you all the best on this journey, and thank you for being such an amazing supporter. ❤️
Wow that was beautiful and emotional at the end. I'm so glad there is a community here with lots of positivity and appreciation. Your videos about Thailand are really great and you seem like a wonderful person. Thank you so much for all that you show us. Kob khun mak krap. Chok dee na krap 😁
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really grateful to have such a positive and supportive community here. It means a lot to know that the videos resonate with you. I’ll keep doing my best. Khob khun mak ka for your encouragement! 😊🫡
Regarding respect, I was immediately impressed by the tradition of wai (ไหว้), used when greeting another or to show appreciation. I readily began using it and find the custom unique and valuable. Coming from America, where lifestyles are a constant blur of activities and greetings of any nature are increasingly rare, the Thai wai felt like restoration of something important for healthy interactions. And the custom is a regular reminder that others are important and to be respected. It's one of the many reasons I prefer to be in Thailand.🙏🙏
Thanks for another great video! I learn a lot from your videos. You are very smart and logical, as well as pretty. I agree with you that older people must earn other people’s respect the same as everyone. ❤
Wow, thank you so much for your kindness and support! ❤ Your Super Thanks means the world to me. I'm so happy you find my videos helpful! 😊 I truly believe respect is something everyone should earn, regardless of age.
Sawasdee khrap Palm 🙏 As native Thai do you think Thailand will keep most of its culture in the future? It’s the culture that attracts many people like me who do not like western culture, it’s the complete contrast and good Thai values that people really like.
That’s a great question Jason, and I completely understand where you’re coming from. Thailand has such a rich culture, I believe many core aspects of Thai culture like respect, family values, and hospitality will stay strong. These are traditions that people here hold close to their hearts.
@ Phew that is good to hear Palm, thanks. When walking around Thailand you can literally feel and sense the culture and as I say, it is so different from the west. I absolutely love it 🙏
Hi Palm. Thankyou for sharing your AMAZING content. You bring so much energy and passion to your videos and I really enjoy watching them. I have been to Thailand a couple of times now and plan to come back and live for a while. Thanks for your videos and common-sense approach to living in and experiencing Thai culture. Keep up the great work 😊❤
Thank you so much for your generous support and kind words! ❤😊 It means the world to me that you enjoy my content and find it helpful. I’m so glad to hear you’ve visited Thailand and are planning to stay for a while. Wishing you all the best with your plans! 🙏

They keep some things and throw away other parts of their cultures. Very interesting book. 📚 if you can find a translation, I highly recommend it :) Keep up the good work ❤ 🇹🇭 🇺🇸 ❤
Thank you so much for the recommendation! 📚 I love the idea of exploring how cultures can blend and evolve. It sounds like something I’d enjoy reading. 😊
Never expected you to get so emotional at the end of your video. It was very touching to see. You have a beautiful soul and it comes through your videos. Keep up the good work that you are doing. Your channel will continue to grow.🎉😀👍
Thank you so much for your kind words! It really means a lot to me. Your support really motivates me to keep going, and I appreciate you being part of this journey!
Exactly! It's all about the exchange rate. 💸 Many foreigners might seem wealthier just because their currency goes further here. It's definitely a stereotype that doesn't reflect the full picture!
What are you guys talking about? If someone moves here and makes 2,3,4,5x what locals earn, how isn't it wealth? Talking about exchange rate is only relevant to ...not much. If a rich Thai m9ved to Austria, is he then still rich? You all are silly
A lot of foreigners are quite poor and also the quality and standard of life in most Western nations dont compare to what you get in the Kingdom of Thailand
Thank you so much! Haha, this ‘dowry’ is perfect for a tasty treat! Bon appétit indeed-maybe I’ll share it with Dada if it’s not a pizza! 😄 Really appreciate your generosity and sense of humor. Take care, and see you next time! 🥰
Dear Ling noi, the best proof for the modernized Thailand is... You . Thanks again for your thoughts. However, I like the Thai color rules. Therefore, on Friday a blue shirt 👕! 😮 Haircut? Been over this. Respect for the elderly people? Actually no, as for me, yes 😊. Thanks and bye for today, K
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoy my thoughts and find a bit of modernized Thailand in me! 😊 Following the Thai color days is fun, isn’t it? Thanks for always sharing your insights, it means a lot. Take care and see you next time! 🙏
Another great video palm. Thai people have told me about this not cuttitng the hair on Wednesdays before i think its called put ham tdat. Its superstition but thanks for telling us the history behind this practice. I never knew the reason 😅Also for the elderly or whoever here in u.s we have a saying "for those who want respect have to give respect". So i kinda agree we cant just give respect blindly and have to endure insults or embarrassment. Thankyou for anothe interesting video. ❤
It’s really interesting to hear about the saying in the U.S.-it aligns with the idea of mutual respect being earned and valued. I really appreciate your support and kind words. 🙏😊
I love the sound effects. They are always timely & funny. Also, your English keeps getting a better with each video. Very good work. As for respect, I go with 'quid pro quo.' Something for something. Respect is earned. If it is not given, it does not have to be returned. Life is short. Never kiss anybody's a**. If you can look in the mirror and know that you are a good person and you like yourself, it doesn't matter one little bit if anyone else does on that day. Good people find other good people over time. It is one thing to be nice & caring to everyone as a courtesy, but it is secondary to being nice, caring & forgiving of yourself. I take it too far and never give a rip about if another soul likes me. But still, I am nice to people (as long as they are nice to me) and let the chips fall where they may. The 'no haircuts on Wednesday' thing is a little weird. I still have to try to remember to take off my shoes when entering certain places. 😉
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! I’m glad you enjoy the sound effects. I’m also happy to hear my English is improving! I love your perspective on respect and life in general. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, they really resonate with me. Keep being awesome!
My experience in thailand is nothing to do thai people wanting money. One time thai taxi driver drive to wrong place, he say sorry sorry(solly solly 🙂) and he didnt accept any payment from the taxi ride. 😯 other people too very kind and fair. I didnt get in touch with any scammers in thailand. If someone is shady just walk away, theres alot of decent people in thailand 🥰
One thing I've noticed that has changed, is at the movie theaters. Almost everyone would stand for the tribute to the old king. But almost no one stands for the tribute to the new king.
Sir please 🙏🏾 stay away from that subject for your personal freedom's sake for no reason mention anyone from the Royal family regarless of if you are only on holiday here or plan to , Or are retired here like i am As Expats who are guests This is not our business , Be safe, Be wise , Be well God bless 🙏🏾
Regarding your point about elderly. I agree that you should not submit to abuse by elderly. But I really admire when people help their elderly stranger. And I think that is the real respect, so don't put up with bullshit, but help and assist your elderly. Edit, well I put my comment just 10 secs before you saying the same
Hi Pam I have been watching a few of your videos with interesting subjects -Pas see passport bros, cheating. Keep doing your videos, you will get so much more followers, subscribers. Do you live in Bangkok? I have been 7 times to Thailand 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching my videos and for your kind words of encouragement. 🙏🏽 Yes, I’m currently living in Bangkok and hope to see you around in the comments again! 😊
@ You’re welcome and deserve it. Yes you will see me on the comments again and hopefully will see you on my next visit to Thailand in February. You may be able to help me with my life dream. Thanks Pam☺️
Be careful with adopting western values. Thai values are more humane than western values. Respect elders, it’s the correct thing to do; if they don’t respect you, let it be their problem. You have done your part. Don’t ditch the dowry custom. Paying dowry is not a sale of the bride but it makes the man value his wife more and strengthens family bonds.
No underware in public is against the law. 🙂Don´t show your under feet to people. Is that something that are oldfashion? Or does people respect that now also. Thx again for your nice videos 😃🥰
Thanks for your kind words! 😊 I’m glad you enjoy the videos! As for the cultural rules, showing your underwear in public is still generally considered inappropriate. You can show your feet, but it's considered disrespectful to point them at people or sacred objects.
What about "never buy shoes for your girlfriend"? Seems like another outdated superstition. Also, what is your opinion on eating beef? This one seems more serious but maybe Thai attitudes are changing.
"Never buy shoes for your girlfriend" is definitely one of those fun, outdated superstitions! 👟 As for eating beef, it’s a bit more complex. For some, it’s tied to religion or family traditions. Many mixed Thai-Chinese families, for example, avoid eating beef out of respect for Guan Yin, the goddess of mercy.
@@ThaiThoughts I like and respect how Thai society seems mostly flexible and tolerant of different ideas and beliefs, leaving personal choices up to each individual... relative to many (most) countries in the world. BTW I remembered another Thai superstition I have come across: choosing/avoiding colors (for like houses and cars?) based on the day (of the week) a person was born.
Haha, I totally get that! 😊 The wai can be tricky to get right, especially since there are different styles for different situations. A nod and a smile is always a safe and friendly option for farang, it’s hard to go wrong with that! 😄
