What's funny is that I'm Thai and here I am, watching your video for a guidance into exploring Bangkok (I have never been to half of these places in this video)🤣Your video is amazingly shot and edited, but what I like the most about it is that you've provided some insights of places like a brief history, general terms, and transportation methods which can be useful for people to understand and immerse themselves with the culture while traveling. Also, unlike many other creators who seem to forget to do research (hence they tend to end up in expensive malls and generic tourist spots) you really did explore and appreciate local sceneries and community which are essentially the backbone of Thai community and culture. This is definitely a must-watch for those who plan to visit Bangkok, and even better, for Bangkok residents who want to explore the city like a tourist. Again, great job Chris!
there can't be any better ambassadour for thailand and bangkok then Chris!the amount of work he puts in these vids is impressing.i like it very much that he really shows a side of thailand that is not just party and red light district.(that is what many people think is all to it)nice to see people liking him on the streets and a guy like this deservs all the fame and fortune that is coming to him.keep up the good work dude and i'm looking forward to the next vid.💪💪👍👍
Ciao Chris Just did December in Thailand 🇹🇭 Bangkok, week one Chiang Mai, week two Hua Hin, week three Left the last week open Went back to Bangkok for week four, because i missed and loved it so much!!! Cant wait to return 🇹🇭🙏🏻
Man I'm so excited to move here in September. :) This channel kinda changed the trajectory of my life. 4-5 years ago I woulda never considered thailand as a place where I'd end up living, now I plan on moving there for the rest of my life (or at least for the next 5 years). Excited to learn the language and culture!
I have eaten foods in US, Canada, France, Belgium, Hong Kong, etc., etc., you get the point. All countries had their characteristics, and super menus. All are mouth watering, but with all the deliciousness, there's usually plenty of grease. This is where Thai food is special. I can get many very delicious menus that don't depend on oils to produce a great flavor. I love because I can eat healthy in Bangkok without destroying my health. Great show Chris!!!
Hopefully this is the year! I really want to see the Philippines, but I think Thailand will be fun. I will be 70 soon! At the present time I am caring for my disabled wife!
I miss Thailand....I will be back one day. This is a fun video. I was at that flower market, and learned how to make a lotus flower with folded petals for an offering. I miss the street food, and seeing monks everywhere. I don't miss sweating though! I think that's why there's a 7 Eleven on every corner - just to get out of the heat.
Such a long video, but you know what - I watched it all! 555 It's not boring at all. Even I'm Thai and live in Bangkok, I've never been to many places you've been in this video - what a shame. You make me want to explore my town again. Thank you Christ for your hard work. I love it.

Hey Chris, A-W-E-S-O-M-E video mate. Enjoyed every second of it. Good to see Mark Wiens in it 🙏🙏Happy New Year Chris, have an awesome 2024! Greetings from The Netherlands
I am in Oklahoma USA. I was kind of turned off at the thought of Bangkok at first. I imagined it was too much of a high crime party town. After seeing your videos I've decided to apply to teach at an international school there! Thanks for this insight!
1. In my opinion Thailand is REAL MELTING POT I did not surprise why everybody go to Thailand, they got Vietnam culture in northeast of Thailand even in Bangkok if you do enough research you will find restaurants from many countries around the world in Bangkok. It is why I think this place is unlike anywhere else in the world. It may be true that New York has a diverse population of people all over the world. In Switzerland, it is diverse. But from my observation The country is more open to cultures from around the world. And people all over the world are accepting Thai culture as well. You won't see this as evident anywhere else in the world as in Thailand. 2. Thailand is so f***ing chill. It is a country where work is not stressful. But at the same time, it is still very professional. You don't have to believe me. You should go and have your own experience. 3. Thailand is famous for its medical care, and is a center for quality medical care and reasonable price, you don't have to be afraid to pay a high price to survive, right? A country that can be compared to Thailand in the same status right now is probably Turkey. that is trying to create a medical center and similar tourism. 4. Thailand is a land of opportunities that many people overlook. This is the country with the world's top tourist numbers. It is definitely an area of opportunity. We are not talking about online trading. But it really means offline. And when there are many offline Why is online trading ineffective? 5. Thailand is the country of choice as a retirement destination for people around the world. Many people are moving to long-term residences towards the end of their lives. 6. Thailand is not a religious state. You can practice any religion in Thailand. There is no discrimination regarding religion or belief. But traditional Thais will have harsher opinions about Buddhism in Thailand than you might think if social issues arise. 7. Thailand is still far from being an international democracy. But even then, people around the world are still watching. and always helping Thai people And hope that the country will have a regime that really has power coming from the people. 8. Thailand has coffee with quality at the specialty coffee level with a score of 85% or higher, many growing areas concentrated in Chiang Mai. There is actually a tour company that I know. They have many interesting tour packages like Gem tour/Business negotiation tour (or even help finding and matching business)/Exotic tree market tour/Real estate tour or see a knock down house/Ghost tour. 9. Thailand loves Japanese culture very much. To the point that sometimes Japanese people don't even want to return to Japan. Because working with Thai people doesn't feel stressful. You probably already know what the working culture of Japanese people in Japan is like. Many Japanese people who have worked in Thailand request to transfer themselves to branches in Thailand permanently. And another reason is that there are so many good Japanese restaurants in Thailand that even Japanese people are weird about it. Until Japanese people say that they can go out and eat Japanese food at an affordable price in a different restaurant. It is a high quality shop that can be duplicated within 1 month and the owner of the shop is not even Japanese, but Thai. Let me inform a little more about this. It's not just Japanese people who think like this. South Koreans, Chinese, and Americans feel the same. 10. Thailand has good infrastructure. It may not be good in every area, but I consider 90% of the country to be good. But in some areas the water system may not be good. But do you believe it or not? In some areas of Thailand you can now drink tap water from the tap. But in Bangkok you still can't drink it. I hope the country is starting to test something that is good news. As for clean energy Believe me, Thailand will definitely do very well in the near future. Sometimes I think Thailand is doing better than Europe. 11. Regarding garbage disposal Thailand still has a lot to learn (I'm not here just to admire). It is considered a failure in waste management. But not without effort to manage, they care but still adhere to many laws. and there is systematic participation of both the state and the private sector. and instilling responsibility in this matter is still too little. Even though it is a country with a lot of foreigners. There are a lot of tourists. But if they don't rush to solve the problem, it will continue to be a problem in the long run.
The USA has the highest crime rate of the world with a few exceptions in South America and Africa. If you steel a piece of fruit on a market in the US, you probably don't even get arrested. Try this in Bangkok and the police will come and you probably end up in the newspaper. In NY I can't even smoke in front of my hotel at night. I need to stay close to security. In Bangkok you can forget your bag with 1000$, iphone, credit cards in a poor neighbourhood and just get it back with all the contents in it.
Dude Chris I just found your channel a couple days back. Been crushing vids ever since. Love the content, your killing it man. I'm 46 I've got 9 more years till maxed pension. So that puts me In Bangkok at 55 with time and money to settle in for the long haul. Unless the lottery pays off first I'll cya in person in a few more years. Till then brother keep these vids coming and sharing with all us dreamers all the awesome Thailand has to offer.
Wow, it was so unexpected and nice to bump into you in Toronto this morning! Thanks for everything that you do in this channel, and I really hope that one day I will be able to walk in your steps and retire in Thailand. That will be like my dream come true! Wishing you a happy new year and a great 2024 with more amazing content from a lovely country! Thank you! -- Éric
I'm here right now and have been a bit lost about what to do, so this video is a godsend. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to the islands as I'm not a city person haha, but this will help a lot :)
Im going to investigate retirement their for 2 months next January and February.... I will be doing this entire list as well... i cant wait! Im learning Thai through yt as well. Doing my homework... I cant wait... Love your channel!
Amazing list Chris! Will be visiting Bangkok for the first time next month and now I finally have a proper plan. Thank you and keep the awesome videos coming! ☺️
This video deserves an award. I've been to Bangkok numerous times and was captivated by this video. Now I can't wait to go back and cross off some of this list....thanks Chris and team.
We need a Mark Wiens collab! 😂 I love these longer videos, btw. Makes me want to visit Thailand! EDIT: just got to the part where you say Mark is joining at the end of the video. Gotta watch everything! EDIT: that was an amazing video!!!!
Very cool hanging out with Mark Wiens. Thanks for the chapter markers I went straight to the best parts. Have an awesome and epic 2024 mate! Also congrats on hitting 400k!
Arriving in BK on the 3rd for 10days and this guide is perfect, picked up Teenee so I can make sure to find all of these locations. Some I've visited numerous times before but was in BK last pre-covid and there are certainly parts I'd missed. Never been to the green lung or cycled anywhere in the city so I'll be contacting Wat about his tour. Also looking forward to Jeroen's meet up on the 06th. Thanks for all the great videos and good vibes you put out there Chris!
I'm not sure if it was an accident or not, but when you entered the workshop in Talad Noi at 2:06:46 if you had followed the orange arrow to the left and then up the stairs, you would have found the hidden cafe Mother Roaster.
What a great video to end/start the New Year. The first thing that I thought of was Kris Kringle with that long rolled out paper. Making a list, checking it twice. 😊Great info and yes will have to spread out my viewing. 👏❤Well done Chris, Adam, Hailey.
Will be going to live in Bangkok at the start of 2025, thank you so much for this very informative video, by far my favourite Thai content creator, cheers Chris 👍
Durian smells like a warm McDonalds dumpster but tastes like an almond custard with the consistency of avocado. I highly recommend getting past the smell and just enjoy the fruit. Protip - Since the best places to get durian are street vendors or roadside stands; keep some disposable plastic gloves in your bag and wear them while eating the fruit and your hands will not get stinky.
@@hollygrace6814 we try to go every year but missed a few due to COVID, we spend songkran in a small village near Udon Thani were where married back in 1991!
Working hard toward moving here. Everyday I strategize how I want to plan everything out. Doing a lot of research first and making sure financially it is do-able. Within the next year or 2 I plan on finally making the move unless things go super smooth. Thank you Chris for always being awesome and giving idea's. Love the channel and knowledge you are able to give.

So many bkk travel vids but yours the easiest and most useful content!! Planning my trip now!
Man if you want to discredit 70% of the world with ignorance like that to each his own misery
@@JM-kv2knWhat do you mean?
High crime 🤣
Thank you! -- Éric
You're so fun to watch! Thanks for the quality you deliver the information with, Chris!
I'm here right now and have been a bit lost about what to do, so this video is a godsend. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to the islands as I'm not a city person haha, but this will help a lot :)
You did a great job of presenting a story that was fun to watch and easy to understand.
Im going to investigate retirement their for 2 months next January and February.... I will be doing this entire list as well... i cant wait! Im learning Thai through yt as well. Doing my homework... I cant wait... Love your channel!
CRAZY CRAZY BANGKOK!!! Such an interesting and cool travel guide about BKK.
Amazing list Chris! Will be visiting Bangkok for the first time next month and now I finally have a proper plan. Thank you and keep the awesome videos coming! ☺️
My favorite video so far! The Bad Boy Furniture reference was amazing... and Hailey is either a great actor or had no faith lol. Love your work Chris!
EXCELLENT video! You are THE BEST, Chris!
Chris I gotta tell ya ! You really outdid yourself. I totally love this
This video deserves an award.
What a video. I can tell you put tremendous amount of effort into making this. I truely appreciate all the moments you shared with us.
I'm not sure if it was an accident or not, but when you entered the workshop in Talad Noi at 2:06:46 if you had followed the orange arrow to the left and then up the stairs, you would have found the hidden cafe Mother Roaster.
Perfect timing I'm flying out to BKK tomorrow morning can't wait 😊
I’m definitely a durian fan along with somtam and khao soi
Thanks for this video and all other things you post. Coming in feb and we now have many things to do. We have booked a bicycle tour 😀
Love all the videos! Coming to Thailand in February, so excited 😊
What a great video to end/start the New Year. The first thing that I thought of was Kris Kringle with that long rolled out paper. Making a list, checking it twice. 😊Great info and yes will have to spread out my viewing. 👏❤Well done Chris, Adam, Hailey.
That was an epic 2 hours and 40mins well spent. Cracking vid. Well done Chris.
We will be there for Songkran 2024, we will definitely reference this as we make our 4 week plans. thanks Chris!
I will get out of town for Songkran 2024 lol
I was there last year for songkran, and will be there next year also! When I lived there, we would escape the city during this time lol
@@genestone4951 We will spend Songkran near Udon Thani, at the village where my wife and were married back in 1991.
@@hollygrace6814 we try to go every year but missed a few due to COVID, we spend songkran in a small village near Udon Thani were where married back in 1991!
great timing chris I will be in bangkok in 3 weeks , cant wait ....thanks ....great content as always

Great video man. I'm coming back to Bangkok for the first time in a while next month ,so this and your other videos have been a perfect refresher. Thanks a bunch.
I got to Bangkok on Monday. It's kind of intimidating, but you get used to it. I just got into Hua Hin and will be here for a few days (I really like it here). More my speed. I then plan to go to Pattaya. Really considering retirement here.
Awesome video, Chris! I can't wait to go back to Bangkok.
Poo is so charming! I wish her all the best

Most Thais would agree with number 1. Those dishes are the most favorite for Thais. Nothing can beat Som Tum Poo Pla La. OMG, I am so envious 😂
So much hard work must have gone in to this video. Great job mark. Thank you 👍
