I am a glass artist myself been engraving for 28 years you blow me away this is very beautiful work I really wish you would talk and explain what you’re doing I have no idea what tools you’re using or anything but that lion is awesome
Thank you Bruce, this is a very old video!!! I do many voice over videos with FULL explanation, but they are mainly on my Patreon teaching channel www.patreon.com/glassengraving
Once again a big thank you for all the lovely reviews. I am unbelievably busy and have no time to answer individual questions which I also get by emails and messages etc, every single day from all over the world. I will just say quickly here, the water drip feed is simply a 2way gang valve from an aquatic pet shop. Bit of tubing and an empty milk bottle. The drill I mainly use is a micromotor, Google it :-)The burs are a variety of diamond, stone and rubber, they all do different things depending on speed, pressure, wet, dry, worn out or new. You just have to experiment and practice. I have a large dust extractor as well as using the mask. Using water minimises dust levels considerably. Have a good light over the glass so you can see it when it is wet. Have fun and take care. ♥
Awesome work , love ALL your videos. Ty for giving a quick run down of the different bits you use , and the key element of lighting. I have been doing more practice on flat glass using black and white stencils to get the feel. I just built and work station . I do my water feed with sump pump in five gallon bucket and placed a valve to control my water flow. Head set magnifying lens and another magnifying glass W/arm and clamp helps a lot😁. Thanks again for your videos.
I have a question, well two questions kinda, is it possible to return a slightly frosted engraved glass back to 100% see through, and if so, what burr(s) would I use?
Hi the black attachment that you use at the nose of the lion which is, and you want to explain on the youtube about the accessories, which you use for what, I would be very happy with that.
I love your work but nowhere can I find anyone that explains how to get the shading using a Dremel and what tool is used so would it be possible for you to explain to a complete beginner
Hi Lesley I have been following you on RUclips for awhile and I love your work and only wish I had the same skills as you. I'm just wondering what all the different bits are that you use, I have loads of diamond bits but it's the others that I'm more interested in and also have you bought a book out and if so what's it called most grateful Philip
Where do you get a dust extractor? Can you direct me to a website? Also I emailed you questions about the water tube and your rotary tool. Hope you can provide a source for dust extractor! Mark in Texas - 3/2016
do you have a Q&A page on face book.. or maybe videos of lessons. I have lurked your Web page and face book.. but just "shop now" and personal bio page... honestly I have come back to your videos again and again for inspiration. and encouragement to what is possible with glass etching. your very skilled and your craftsmanship is phenomenal. I have questions and would love an audience. is there a messenger we can speak on as we walk through out this adventure?

One of the better engravers ive seen on here. But why no drop system?
It is not absolutely essential to use water, this just happened to be a piece I decided not to ...generally I do. Thank you for the compliment 👍

Do you have a part 2 showing the remaining work being done and a finished shot?
By the way, your work is exquisite. Do you ever use sandblasting?
I often combine sandblasting with hand engraving, or sandblasting alone
