I've searched online for parts availability like bearings, clutch lining, clutch spring, clutch/throttle cables, they're available thru online. I was wondering if it is still worthy. If you're looking for a sport bike, you really can't go wrong with any of the lower CC bikes, honda, kawasaki, Yamaha, they're all great and reliable. If you haven't already, check out the video ChaseOnTwoWheels did called "Low CC Sportbike Breakdown" where he compares multiple low CC sport bikes. With all that said, if you can find a naked bike, 100% go for that. They are the best overall all-around bikes.
I've seen people over 6' on groms, I don't think this would be too small, especially because of where the footpegs are located. If they were farther back, I'd be hesitant, but being that they're directly under you, I think you'd be fine. But find one locally and sit on it to be sure.
@@jsavak99 the market was crazy over the summer but coming into fall might change that. Depending on your location, I could see it going for $2,500-$3,000. We sold our 2011 with 14k miles for $2,500.

All those couples in matching nylon Gold Wing jackets, velcro tennis shoes, and half helmets with microphones are the real experts.

Has this Honda 250R cbra gas to turn off the valve
You mean for reserve? No reserve valve.
When I release the throttle on this bike it immediately kinda like pushes me forward as its losing power does anyone else have this problem
I didn't find the engine braking to be that powerful but maybe I'm used to the 1000..
@@JonDotCom7 well I'm 230pounds ..maybe it's time for a stronger bike ?
@@tepoztlitlacatl634 depending on what style bike you go for, the engine braking will get stronger with size, especially with naked style sportbikes
i saw one selling here in Philippines with 13k km odo. Is it still worthy to buy it in 2022? I've searched online for parts availability like bearings, clutch lining, clutch spring, clutch/throttle cables, they're available thru online. I was wondering if it is still worthy. I came from Loncin GP250 btw.
Yes definitely still worth it, highly recommend this bike, very reliable.
What is the average consumption per 100km
I'm not great with conversions, but it averages around ~68mpg.
68 US mpg = 81 uk mpg, very impressive
@@alistairrobinson3865 indeed!
great review. Agree with all of your comments. The seat is absolute shite. Apart from that this bike is my best one so far!
Appreciate it!
guy wants to sell me this bike for 2800 2013 11k miles is that a good deal? seems very well taken care of and recent tune up
Honestly it depends on your location, but the price seems a little high. When I bought ours, it had like 7k and they were asking 2,400 and got them down to 2k.
@@JonDotCom7 yeah im new to motorbikes but it seem a bit overpriced to me. My riding courses are at the end of this month but im too impatient lol. I'm in California SF area, out of state these bikes are way cheaper!
@@tasadar1695 ah yeah, whatever you do, don't buy through a dealer, you'll definitely overpay.
I bought a cbr250r 2018 repsol for 2,500
These little bike get so much hate . (Which I dont get) but i absolutely love em,
They're fun as hell!
How much this motorcycle 250ccc
Nice review sir...
Many thanks!
AMAZING MOTORCYCLE
Yes it is!
(This comment's for Jon and everyone else watching this video) I'm 17 and am looking to get into bikes. I now know that this could be a great option, but would you happen to have other recommendations as well (probably 250cc - 400cc)
Edit: I'm about 5'9" so please keep that in mind
If you're looking for a sport bike, you really can't go wrong with any of the lower CC bikes, honda, kawasaki, Yamaha, they're all great and reliable. If you haven't already, check out the video ChaseOnTwoWheels did called "Low CC Sportbike Breakdown" where he compares multiple low CC sport bikes. With all that said, if you can find a naked bike, 100% go for that. They are the best overall all-around bikes.
@@JonDotCom7 I'll check it out right now and I'll let him know that you told me about him. Thank you so much :)
@@julienhagens1544 no problem! Good luck!
Same 2014 model 250r
I am over 6 foot. Is this bike to small?
I've seen people over 6' on groms, I don't think this would be too small, especially because of where the footpegs are located. If they were farther back, I'd be hesitant, but being that they're directly under you, I think you'd be fine. But find one locally and sit on it to be sure.
Awesome!
What's the top speed ?
I believe I got it up to 87mph and my I think my wife got it up to 95mph, stock.
@@JonDotCom7 what do you think is a fair price for a 2013 driven 9600 miles with scratches in front by front light ?
@@jsavak99 the market was crazy over the summer but coming into fall might change that. Depending on your location, I could see it going for $2,500-$3,000. We sold our 2011 with 14k miles for $2,500.
@@JonDotCom7 I’m going to see one today says clean title 9,000 miles for 2600 I wanna bargain 2200 is that fair?
@@michaeljimenez9203 I would say that's fair on both parties, for sure.
In our country any bike higher than 300cc is a bigbike✌️😊
Yeah I guess USA is over-indulgence lol
@@JonDotCom7 ilove this bike... Actually saving money for 2 years now and im gonna have a honda 250 nxt year(2nd hand bike) 😀🙏🙏🙏

@@JonDotCom7 💪👶❤️
Indonesia is like that too, most roads people don't go over 40mph so this bike would be crazy
I'm looking at one for 4k with 3k miles. I think I might.
Price is a little steep but super low mileage and it's super reliable, but the bike market is high right now anyway.
I got one for sale 500 miles for 3k$
@@madcannagrow2833 that's a steal!
@@JonDotCom7 I got it for 1,700 cuz they couldn’t start it. Cleaned gas tank, took injector off and solenoid was stuck. Used my power probe to and jumped power and ground to it until it started clicking again. Reinstalled it put new gas and she fired right up haha

im now riding a 750 magna...its fun on straights only...ill get a cbr250 ang try to lear motogymkhana
250's are super fun to pitch in corners 😎
how can i stretch this bike
Would have to buy an extended swing arm & new chain, likely longer brake line too.
Why would you stretch a 250? I could understand a 1000 for drag racing. But a 250? Or even a 600? You lose all ability to dive into curves.
@@EyeForKnowledge. true but that's not everyone's prerogative, I'm all about the curves too but to each their own. People stretch groms lol
@@JonDotCom7 True. I just thought people
Stretched bikes for function. Not for looks.
No, it's not a beginner bike. It's a bike.
It is indeed a motorcycle, but on the spectrum of motorcycles, it is considered a beginner motorcycle.
@@JonDotCom7 Then it's a poorly defined spectrum. Shall we describe all motorcycles by weight and displacement? So, anything under a Gold Wing is for wankers. 500, 750, and 1000cc bikes are all rungs on the motorcycle ladder. All those couples in matching nylon Gold Wing jackets, velcro tennis shoes, and half helmets with microphones are the real experts.
@velofish lol okay whatever you say.
Great info so much positive vibes of a ride Rusty old fart

the grom may be fun...but a used grom may be more expensive than a used cbr250...LOL
Definitely truth 😅
Very save fuel❤❤❤❤❤ 1liter 43km i got
That is true!
I take 101Mph with mine
Impressive, downhill?
Watched an ad then a minute of nothing. No info. Nothing. Thumb down.
Yeah I've gotten that feedback before and changed how long the intro is.
This review turned out to be remarkably poor if for no other reason than the reviewer SHOULD have been the person who actually put the vast majority of miles on the bike, the rider for whom the bike was intended: the beginner rider. THAT would have been interesting and informative. Instead, this was just more bike pablum....blah blah blah.
Oof, what a misguided thought that was 😅
