I sold my KLX 300 Supermoto and wanted an ebike. You guys talked me into a Talaria Sting R. So I looked around RUclips for the best and most informative videos to learn about upgrades and aftermarket companies. Turns out, they are all on your channel! Keep up the detailed and awesome videos! You are the best!🙏👍🚲
I'm using a shock sock, wraps around the shock instead of a mud flap. Seems to work fine so far. Would solve your problem of the mud flap being too short.
You can run the rear flap still. Just go to home depot and get some 2" zinc-plated mending plate (spray paint black) and some nuts and bolts and put it on 👍
Really enjoying the content guys! Btw, those are "E" clips. Look at it, looks like an E. We use them all the time in the automotive industry. Knowing the correct name will make them much easier to find if you need too.
i run the same setup with the mud flap, just ziptie the top mounting points off of the brake light bracket, mount the bottom ones like normal, give the zipties a little slack so it isn't overly tight
Those gaps under the seat riser look like perfect candidates for a 3d printed cover. Hmmm. Something like petg or asa would hold up well to heat and UV. Maybe stickerfx could offer a couple strips to stick on them to tie it in and make it look stock... hmmm
Great work guys, again! I like that seat riser kit, be cool if they could make a little fairing or piece of plastic to cover the gap but still doesn't look bad, I'm all about stretched out ergos. Definitely like the longer fender, it actually looks more proportional. Rotors are a nice upgrade too, I had 2 piece rotors and upgraded pads on my Surron, worthy upgrade for sure. Keep it up guys!
I really like the looks of the seat riser kit! I'm sure that I'll have to go that route if I can figure out how to afford one of these bikes in the first place. The Pegs that Reed got look like the hot set-up! Thanks for showing the bearing replacement! I kind of have to believe that you make that inner fender flap work if you just found a couple inches of similar thickness rubber flap to add little extension to the flap you purchased. Maybe a project for another day? You'll have to let us know if you like the seat extension and if your brakes work any better with the larger rotors.
Is there anyway you could see if the Sting R seat frame will bolt up to the MX 3?I noticed that they are different part numbers and was wondering if that is part of the reason for the new flatter seat angle on the sting R. I also noticed the suspension triangle is different in the R. Maybe that along with the seat frame would help seat angle?
U could show also how to remove the cable of the backlight😢I’ve got 5 connector 1 is easy to take off but the other I really don’t know how to disconnect them
Also I stripped one of those two bolts that go into the seat / rear fender and into the plastic, it stripped in the plastic part ...I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to get it out now 9r the bolt off ..... Any suggestions?!😢
I personally just didn't like the feel of the seat being taller, I rode it for about 100 miles off-road on 5 rides and just couldn't get used to the higher center of gravity when corning while sitting down. I know a ton of riders that really like it that don't ride as aggressive as I do or are even taller and want the added comfort.
Notice on more recent vids that you're not still running the seat riser? Issues? I really think a better design that closes the gap AND lifts the stock lid for 72v/54Ah battery would be awesome. Ultimately, them making different sized frames (S/M, L, XL) might be best (and then include stiffer springs to begin with). But saying that, it would be awesome for Talaria to start including 72V XBMX 9000 controllers on custom higher end bikes too. LoL.
It's a tool not a jewel! Let's be honest e-bikes don't look that great anyway 😂 . Thanks for the info boys definitely will be doing these mods! I am also 6'3.
pin my first comment !
Yalls videos are so solid. Only people on youtube doing consistent talaria content which is helping grow the community. Keep the weekly uploads going!

Thanks we really appreciate that!
should always use the old bearing ontop of the new bearing then hammer it.

Thanks! Glad you liked it
lol.. i left the damn springs out as i had no idea how to put them in the new pegs.. glad i can add them in now.
Haha they’re sometimes a pain

Seriously you guys are the best!
I always thought that kit looked too goofy but with your graphics it actually looks not bad at all!!

I used suction motors on liquid oils filtration systems for cooling units for gigantic machines
Great video 👍

Can you fit the EBMX 72V 54AH battery with this riser kit without that that UGLY aftermarket 3D printed lid guys ?? TY LOVE THE CHANNEL !!
The ebmx 72v 42ah fits with no riser but the 57ah needs the lid extender.
Also I stripped one of those two bolts that go into the seat / rear fender and into the plastic, it stripped in the plastic part ...I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to get it out now 9r the bolt off ..... Any suggestions?!😢
I see in the newer videos the seat extender isn't on the bike anymore. Does it have any issues? Why did you remove it?

Ya I ended up taking it off because I didn't like the way it made the bike handle when sitting down, my center of gravity felt to high then cornering.
was wondering same thing good to know
Another great video
With the seat riser can you use a bigger battery with the same lid? Like a chi battery? I’m trying to avoid the camel hump😭
It really depends on the battery and we haven’t tested so don’t really know for sure
Do you know if the EBMX 72/57 will fit this kit?
I don't know sorry
How do you adjust the rotor? Do you have a video about that bro?
What are you trying to adjust? Do you mean straiten it if it bent?
You adjust the caliper to center the rotor in the gap equally left & right
Will the handle bar mod and seat mod allow me to ride comfortably at 6’2 260?
yes. or you could do peg lowers and the riser bar
Do you find the bike is able to ride in the rain without problem?
Yea the bike does great and the fender helps!
Did you also raise the bars?
Yes the bars are higher than stock
Got a link?
great vids
Anymore major x3 content coming up?
Yea tons more! We’ve got big plans!
I love the talaria xxx so much, if only I could find a 100€/month purchase plan...
Sounds like we need to just order the seat and frame for the Talaria and OEM the rest ourselves
Nice! Yall in Utah?
Yes sir!
is it true that the talaria r breaks easily due to the gearbox?
Not true
@@Talariaboys ty man i appreciate it I was about the buy the r but due to the tiktoks i was doubting it but now I’m gonna just send it dude
Just buy a silicon chopping board for $10. You'll get 3 out of it for a 3rd of the price of the mudguard.
I used a cut up old bicycle tube for a shock guard, and the included number plate mount as a fender extension, at a total cost of $0
That’s a good idea!
Next time, put the bearings in the freezer; it will help with the installation.
When’s the talaria xxx getting some upgrades 👀🤌🏽
Soon!

Riser kit is ugly would be better of there was a filler body panel
Looks horrendous
Not really some people love it
Functionality over looks..
