So these things, yes. For some reason, if you press the handicap button, it will insist on giving you cars A, or B. Even if one is waiting near by, it will still send you car A or B, with an exception to floor 9 where only cars F and G stop. And about floor 9, there's two Schindler port panels installed, but are not in use. They might be getting a modernization with the renovation. Never got around to going to the secret floors, I was not in the hotel for much of the day . Really only came back to sleep. This video here was taken at 3 AM, and going up to the '55th' floor definitely would have drawn attention.
Although car e still chirps twice on the first floor, it rings twice meaning that each car only rings once. only car e called twice then you have this case, you have to call the hotel and ask the hotel manager to fix this case. Remember!

Finally, a real elevator
So they disabled the floor passing chimes? I haven’t seen Car D in a video in a long time, but Car B has been veryyy overfilmed and it did have floor passing chimes, in this video they are off so it looks like they got disabled. I like it better that way tbh.
Yah the floor passing chimes are just turned way down. Also the elevators don't seem to talk as often as the once did. I never heard them say floor announcements for anything other than 8 and 1 this time. I miss when they would say 'FLOOOOOR' but then would never announce the floor number. Kinda wish they would include all the cars with the handicap mode. I like the way it says 'Take, car D' for some reason. Suzzexs old videos of these were so awesome, his video showed them just the way I liked them.
hahah yeah i miss that, in Filechias videos from a while back they still said “FLOOORR” and he would have something to say everytime 😂

Also yes when you do handicapped mode it seems to always want to give you Car A or Car B, (since all the enthusiasts do handicap mode) but maybe when you DONT do it, it gives you Car E or Car D or one of the internal ones. (I remember when people used to hate getting Cars M and N but now that it’s a rare occurrence getting one up to 45, people are happy when it gives you M or N. Anyone agree? 😂)
I've gotten different cars going up to 45 many times. I think cars D and E were just the closest every time during the video. I love cars M,N,O and P. They seem more swift and are louder. I got a video of these last year but never uploaded it because I only ever got cars A and B.
I have sadly never been here. I live about 5-6 hours from Nyc. I’m not really into elevators as much as i used to but being able to come here and film these would still be a dream come true
@@313Railfan Filming these was and the bottom of my list of things to do when I came here to NYC, I just barely had enough time to film these. This video was taken on the last day I was there and at like 2:30AM. I would come here if you ever get the chance, There is so much to do here and you'll have the best time ever.

they only had two PORT panels put in on floor 9. They were inoperative. Not sure why they were installed

I was chatting with one of the maintenance people and they said that there wasn't any solid plans with in the next year. But the renovation will take about two years so plans might solidify in the future. But honestly, this system does not really need a mod. It still works very well and isn't THAT old.
Are you sure about that I came here in February and the system was down I think it goes down 3 times each year
