I also have a couple of stairways "down to nowhere", the problem is, that they actually go to nowhere. Just an attempt to make my island at least seem bigger, by providing a path to the Caverns down below. No houses left to "Pipe" to. My humongous castle has a lower level, but it is just Storefronts concealing the raised cliff-face behind them. That faux circus tent was amazing.
For those people trying to draw custom patterns, such as for the Backlit Sign at 0:01 showing "Subway", the smallest font that is reasonably legible would be characters 5 pixels high and 3 pixels wide, some characters such as a "w" have to be 5 pixels wide. Lowercase characters are only 4 pixels high, such as an "a". It does not appear that a proper "a" with 3 horizontal lines can fit within just 4 pixels high, but there is a trick that makes the curves appear about right. I know about that, as that is what my TI-89 graphing calculator uses for its smaller font for Dialog windows. And I have been drawing all of my own custom patterns and Pro Designs standees with "signs" on them. I like that "Subway" sign, but the "S" at the smallest size could be 5 pixels tall, the "b" 5 pixels tall, and the "w" and "a" only 4 pixels tall. Do I actually see anti-aliasing in that Backlit Sign? That would be some pixels appearing gray rather than white or black, to reduce apparent "pixelization". Good job, good attempt. If I was to draw that custom pattern, I think the first thing I wold do, is to up the font size and more so fill the sign. Not all the 32x32 custom pattern is visible, so the trick I used to start, was simply copying another custom pattern that I had for something completely different, and then making a note of which pixels showed and did not show, then overwriting my pattern with the new pattern that I wanted.
@@kayluhgetsfit6123 hey, i got some codes btw do you know what the box of the subway sign is called? here is the sidewalk & road code: MA-6241-0829-6960
I do not have Nintendo Online, so I have drawn all of my custom patterns. Even my train tracks. I have boring basic paths though. I do have some cool custom signs, such as a lighted sign pointing the direction to the Able Sisters.
You can not edit villager homes, unless you have completed HHP challenges to unlock that ability. So then you are left with trying to "gift" an item to a villager, either by getting the middle response that you can select in their dialog, allowing you to give them something, or if that is not appearing, rather than leaving the item on their patio and trying again another day, you can go to the airport and sent them a postcard, and attach the optional 1 gift. I generally gift door wreaths that way, as I can gift the very day that the villager is moving in, unpacking, when they will not accept any gifts. The door wreath just then appears, a day or two later. I have never tried gifting a Pipe. I suspect the game may block that somehow, because entering a villager's home when they are not home and awake, is seemingly impossible. But apparently Pipe travel to a human character home is quite possible, since those can be entered by any of the up-to-8 human characters. I presume it can provide a path into a blocked room, that can only be exited via the Pipe or by Rescue Services.
I draw all my own custom patterns. No modding needed. You already have the Custom Designs app on your Nook Phone. I hope that you can at least halfway draw? If not, then give it a try, and keep touching it up until it looks better. Didn't the great Bob Ross painter say that we do not make mistakes, we just have happy accidents? He made painting look so incredibly easy and fun, and put the other painters to shame, those who make it look difficult. I even used Pro Designs app on my Nook Phone, to create 2 standees for my "elevator" down to my "Secret Lab". In that case, I just sloppily painted "Secret Lab" onto the elevator doors, and then since I placed it outside against a cliff face, added a gray roll-down door, that has inadvertently been left open, because otherwise how could it be so "secret"? I was going for a look something like in the video game _Maniac Mansion_ that I played long ago on my NES.
I think that might be Backlit Sign. That looks like a customized Backlit "Subway" Sign at 0:01. I too have such a Sign that I applied my own Custom Pattern to, so that it reads exactly what I want it to show. Kind of hard to use Nook Shopping to order the item, if you can not remember what it is called. But if you have such a sign outside, your character can simply pick it up, and then read the name of the item from your pocket descriptor. If you do not have that item in that particularly human character's catalog, merely "soft-touching" the item will instantly add it to your catalog, with certain types of items. That means you pick it up, then may set it right down again. With other types of items, soft-touching is not enough, because the item is seasonal, or must be produced by some DIY crafting recipe that you may not have yet, or requires ingredients that you lack. While there is an easy Phototopia way to get Posters of your villagers, Posters do not soft-touch.
That subway Mario pipe situation was so clever. Obsessed

Wait...I thought i knew absolutely everything about this game, but I had no idea you could link the Mario pipe to inside a house. That was so cute!!
RIGHT!! Ima have to do that now
My Pipe is but a boring shortcut to Nook's Cranny.
My jaw DROPPED when the tube brought you inside! This is so freaking creative!!
That boat house was amazing! The whole island is, really enjoyed this tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This island is so creative! Thanks for showing it to us.
The subway blew my mind!
Snap. I thought I was tired of seeing rep houses as stores, but subway shop house was so clever and gorgeously decorated. Amazing work. 😁❤
Omg! Thank you for actually speaking to Dotty! I love that and honestly girl she just gave you content time! Some youtubers don't think of that.
Love the train design 🎉 great video also 😊

Hello, I really love the details of the road. May I know where did you get those? Can you provide the roadcodes? Please and thank you!
I'm really sorry, I didn't create the island so I'm not sure which codes were used. If I happen to find them I will let you know!
Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate it.
@@harlyregala6225 Did you ever find out the codes?

Does anyone know the street codes this creator used?
Ur voice is so cute lol
Does anyone know if you can put the mario tube into villagers homes? Or only island residence homes?

Is this a modded switch? How do you get all the custom designs in the house? It looks amazing
I believe they are just from the DLC but I agree, it looks amazing!

Anyone know the codes for the sidewalk, road, etc?
Why do girls say “little,” so much?
what the girl says is the 'comment' on the passport. same as what you will say in your dream.. so what ever your passport comment is
this is exactly how i want my suburban island to look like! love this 🤩
does the island creator have instagram or any other social media?
