Ticks and misquotes are pretty bad in Minnesota. (Local vet told us 90% of dogs this year had lime) if you come here again do it the fall or bring bug spray and a brush. Otherwise love the videos. Edit I didn’t know it was fall for you so what I would recommend is wearing long sleeves and pants and keep out of long grass. And a quick brush with your fingers through blues fur and your hair

Maria you do a lot of wilderness walking as much a Blue does, a trick of hunters is that they wear pet flea and tick collar around their ankles, you can also spray flea/tick on you both before going into grass/wilderness.... If you add alittle water to his food it will make a gravy and he will love you for it..

I use a topical preventative on my dogs but before we hike I spray the dogs and myself down with a homemade tick spray. So far so good. I am in NY. Geranium Essential Oil is the main EO but I have put lemon grass, peppermint, rosemary and clove in it along with witch hazel to make it into a spray.
