True! Those who make the decisions at RUclips who know nothing about farming could learn a lot by just watching these videos! Most farm kids are proficient in running all types of farm equipment well before they even reach their teen years! Note in this video the young one riding in the tractor side seat! He is learning and being taught well and in just a few years will be wheeling that tractor around by himself!
The other thing is that driving equipment and trucks around on the farm young tend to make MUCH better and safer drivers later. Too many city idiots on the road that don't know how to drive!!! I was so young that I had to stand on the platform of our 4020 and wedge myself with the steering wheel to have enough butt to push the clutch in... No fenders and a brush hog... (now I'm 43 and in perfect health for my age) Then, I was combining at like 12 or 13 with a 40ft head... Not only am I still here but I'm a much better man for it... I believe that anyway. We had cousins that were twins and one used to stand in the car seat and steer while the other sat in the floor working the gas and break... One ended up being a Surgeon for either Reagan or Bush Sr. and the other a ICU nurse in the Air Force and then civilian. Proof that when taught right there's nothing wrong with it... Unfortunately common sense is critically endangered as is basic logic and deductive reasoning... Guess who will survive when things break down though... that's right... farmers! God Bless you all!!!
We are still deciding the purpose for the old building possibly some sort of storage. We will sell what we can and use what we can from the old parlor.

Very true... I observed my dad when I was younger and I would ride along for hours.

We have some decent corn but we are lacking in tonnage. Definitely could have used more rain. Most people could have though.
