Gina's comment about the trees changing color made me think it would be really cool (low priority project) to build a fire monitoring station. Primarily so you could have a structure above the treetops so this time of year, you could go up and see the beautiful foliage from above.

I think you should consider purchasing a landscape rake for your tractor. It would help you in leveling your new pastures and other land clearing areas prior to seeding. That would make mowing or fertilizing easier later. It’s not an expensive piece of equipment but very valuable on the farm

Great to see the sinkhole filled and leveled off. More usable pasture in the near future. I use a chipper to lay out straw or hay over seed, it works really well and distributes it evenly over the ground. Good luck Country and Azalea. 😅 Love ya'll ❤️
I love Highland cattle ! I think that they are beautiful in addition to still having a lot of wildness in their genes which allows them to be more self sufficent. However , I have noticed that the Lumnah cattle are behaving more like pets ! When the time comes will you be able to butcher your pet/friend ? After spreading the grass seed , it may have been a good idea to go over the seed with a roller to give the seeds better contact with the soil. Which should give you better germination and therefor thicker grass and fewer bare spots.
Guess who got in their 10,,000 steps today, and probably every day. Lots of hard work, the results are going to be so satisfying. Hopefully Azalea and Country had a good date day. Love the videos.
Al you forgot that every time you turn the water off the water drains out under ground so they dont freeze, thats how they work so a sink hole has probably came from what you instaled... 🙏 It isn't so it stops happening after you fill it in... Yes i agree Gina needs to learn the tractor in case you get sick.. the little tractor can be a blessing to you and Gina for field building, garden design and execution ...

I have the 1904 Electric Company building in Brunswick. In the early 1900's they did not need the sun to make electricity. High Technology converted coal to electricity. They made it right there in this building. The Electric company had the electricity from Brunswick to Bath, Maine. Monopoly. The building is now on the National Register of Historic Places in Brunswick, Maine, US. September 19. 2024

The new TYM has a larger bucket, but two buckets are bigger than one… I’m surprised that Gina hasn’t hopped into the other TYM to play around with all the attachments. Imagine how much faster those chores would go with both of you moving dirt, or one moving material and the other back-dragging, etc. 😊 Maybe once the Bobcat Toolcat is fixed, she would feel more comfortable running the bucket off of that smaller platform?
Good Morning! Filling wash out areas and sink areas can be a generational project. When my grandmother sloped pasture became my parents front yard. There were areas that needed filling again and again.
Looking at your equipment sitting outside my OCD is kicking in I'm trying to get all my stuff in storage or on pallets I can cover up this winter to protect it.
Hi, with all that rain you are having, could have dug a water dam at the Bottom of a sloped field with your tractor, use a pump to pump the water else where for the livestock and the garden. Have night crawlers to keep the pond Bottom clean, farming experience for many many years. the left over sand that forms the walls to fill in low spots, A , U shape Dam low at the front.???

Ohio farm boy here. Al will your Side-by-Side fit in the Wood Shed to the to the left of the Wood Tots. And put the rest of the Tractors, EX. etc. in the Big shop. You have got to get all your Farm Equip. in out of the The weather it will take the farm equip in a bad way the Moister will set in cause a lot of rust and forking out the BIG $'s over the years. LOL of LUCK in the coming years. In the Winter puting Trickle Chargers on all Battery Equip. Will help all Equip. start in the winter. goto a Auto Parts store and get a bag of Felt Pads to put under each battery post and satuate with oil. No more corosion. ( my spelling in getting bad, but oh well that is the way it goes when you get 84.)
The wood shed is to get the pellet-grill moved from front porch and is to get the Smoker out of Shop to be nearer to house, and with Gina's new parking spot _ electric for vacuum out vehicles, So' no room for parking under ! Equipment Shed is on the to-do list - just so far shelter for people and animals has been more important, Shop needs work done so it would be silly un-parking continuously ! Hopefully before Winter after this Winter the side of Barn gets the a roof-over for parking the equipment under, consider the Tractor Selling Company ( any and all ) park equipment outside and Heavy Equipment Contractors don't build roof overs for Tractors and Excavators on job-sights !
Al has plenty of cleared area between House and where the IBC-Totes and Shipping Container Apartment is parked, on both sides of driveway and saplings are starting to grow there, but Rocks need cleared and some Stumps need pulled before used to grow hay, and that needs developed into usable pasture before clearing trees for more pasture, earlier a herd of Sheep was intended for that job of clearing the land !

A dump trailer would sure be handy to haul material on a large property. I use mine on 2 10 acre parcels.
You should teach Gena how to run your smaller 574 tractor and help you move the dirt. It would be done in half the time, or at least faster.
I bet anything, Gina would be on board for that. She's a worker, that's for sure.

the leftover water in a hydrant is less than a gallon and there's gravel down there just for that purpose. No way it's related to the sinkhole.

Hi, with all that rain you are having, could have dug a water dam at the Bottom of a sloped field with your tractor, use a pump to pump the water else where for the livestock and the garden. Have night crawlers to keep the pond Bottom clean, farming experience for many many years.

You have got to get all your Farm Equip. in out of the The weather it will take the farm equip in a bad way the Moister will set in cause a lot of rust and forking out the BIG $'s over the years. LOL of LUCK in the coming years. In the Winter puting Trickle Chargers on all Battery Equip. Will help all Equip. start in the winter. goto a Auto Parts store and get a bag of Felt Pads to put under each battery post and satuate with oil. No more corosion. ( my spelling in getting bad, but oh well that is the way it goes when you get 84.)

The wood shed is to get the pellet-grill moved from front porch and is to get the Smoker out of Shop to be nearer to house, and with Gina's new parking spot _ electric for vacuum out vehicles, So' no room for parking under !
Equipment Shed is on the to-do list - just so far shelter for people and animals has been more important, Shop needs work done so it would be silly un-parking continuously !
Hopefully before Winter after this Winter the side of Barn gets the a roof-over for parking the equipment under, consider the Tractor Selling Company ( any and all ) park equipment outside and Heavy Equipment Contractors don't build roof overs for Tractors and Excavators on job-sights !
Let it grow , let it grow. I didn’t like spreading hay because it went all over me. I do however love how beautiful the field is growing.

Al has plenty of cleared area between House and where the IBC-Totes and Shipping Container Apartment is parked, on both sides of driveway and saplings are starting to grow there, but Rocks need cleared and some Stumps need pulled before used to grow hay, and that needs developed into usable pasture before clearing trees for more pasture, earlier a herd of Sheep was intended for that job of clearing the land !
