This game has a certain charm that no other game has been able to replicate from my experience. It legitimately manages to feel like you're a couple of kids playing with toy cars, instead of something weird or magical.
As a college student in the late 90s, my three college roommates and I would come back to the apartment after a night of partying and this was the go to game. Endless screaming and trash talking. Such great memories.
Oh, memories. I was a silent assassin, king of the dirty tactical nudge. I wasn't actually all that practiced at it, a mate of mine owned it and a group of us sometimes played it at his house. But I quickly learned the skill of attack. A little nudge, and... whoops! Off the edge of the ruler you go. Oh dear, I win you lose. Hehe.
I love the unique feature in the Splash N' Dash track, switching from a type of vehicle to another, Hot Wheels Extreme Racing, The Crew 2 and Lego 2K Drive you arrived a little late :)
amazing! loved this game. Although the graphics look worse on modern TVs, they actually smooth out on the old glass TVs. If you're gona get retro PS games, get an old TV - it's what they were deigned for and they look a lot better. It's to do with something called interlacing, on modern screens it doesn't work and ends up looking overly blurred and pixley. Trust me on the 90s TV sets!

I remember the Baguette Balance track to be more difficult since i had to be right in the middle of the baguette to avoid falling to my demise on either side, you had half a vehicle on the edge and still didn't fall
Does anyone know the song playing on the piano in "Tanks a Lot"? It sounds a lot like a song from the 80s that I heard, but I can't remember the name of it!
I remember being 5 years old, watching my brother and his friend play this all afternoon. This was the same afternoon where they taught me the words Fuck, Boner, and the N word. My mum washed my brothers mouth out with soap, and made his friend write her an apology letter. Good times.
Are you playing NTSC version? The footage makes me wonder. The AI seems less rubber bandy here than in the PAL version I am playing. I wonder if that is the case.
One of my all time favourite games. Bought it as a kid back in '97 and to this day I haven't been able to beat the Rock Hard cup. How do you do it? The 3rd track seems nearly impossible to get first, and the 5th track is just not going to happen. It's so frustratingly difficult to control Locust on that track, especially when the car bounces all over the place when entering the ruler bridges. Maybe another 25 years of practise will do it....
Great racing considering how the difficulty of the cpu skyrockets from hard onwards. Game I couldnt and probably won’t ever complete.. and least you didn’t play as fckng spider like most people do on other playthroughs I’ve seen
Shame for haven't added the Love Triangle from the pool scenario, it was my favorite by far. Anyway this game is timeless, all these sounds bring me straight to my best teenage years between 1997/2000.
Bloody hell, I remember playing this as a kid, was ecstatic when I made it to Rock Hard difficulty, then basically failed to make it past Pot Luck with the exception of one time, a run in which I made it to Textbook Manoeuvre...and I failed Don't remember playing it much after that 🥲
This game is a core childhood memory. Super great.
I agree bro.

Hey man. Try crash of cars on mobile. It's like a combo of MMV3 and twisted metal. Change the controls to suit your game play and ur good to go

As a child I loved the "science tables" races sooo much!
Micro Machines Series is under rated
No. It's rated highly
I still love the "oops" in the final corner of the Right On Cue track LOL

That start gave me goosebumps.
He or she, whoever composed the PS1 intro. I salute you.
You have literally unlocked memories that where hidden in the depths of the brain, to which i thank you !
The theme the sounds wow this brings back happy memories with my family,,how times have changed upset😢😢 I just want to go back
Genuinely great game, used to play it with three friends
Same here, now I hope to play it with 7 friends for the ultimate experience
Well 4+4 is 8 players
Great gameplay! I was so bad at this game when I was a kid
It's because it's extremely difficult
I love how the Periodic Table includes elements Chocolate, Rhododendron, Tedium, Eggsarnium, and Poo.
I love the unique feature in the Splash N' Dash track, switching from a type of vehicle to another, Hot Wheels Extreme Racing, The Crew 2 and Lego 2K Drive you arrived a little late :)
One of my favourite ps1 games
This was the best Micro Machines game. Surprised to see a new longplay though.
I wonder if you'll do any of the super jumps or spins at victory... .

it's automaticly implemented as chapters
The gameplay looks surprisingly similar to the 16 bit entries, for a PS1 release! This looks pretty great.
it was. V4 forvthe PS2 was great too
It was gash compared to windows version
I went around all the wooden desks at school in the 90s writing Fatty Bunter on them
Ahh, back in the day when I played this game with my buddies, Dwayne was my choice of character! xD
I remember there was a cheat that made the camera behind your vehicle like a traditional driving game. Made the game so much better
That was shite
Awesome times😢
I remember the Baguette Balance track to be more difficult since i had to be right in the middle of the baguette to avoid falling to my demise on either side, you had half a vehicle on the edge and still didn't fall
Cheers dood. Total awesome ps flash backs. Dwayne was my character "totally experimental" 🤘🏻

The first 3D Micro Machines game and it was really nice and fun. V4 was released for the PS2 which isnt my turf ;-)
60fps during gameplay? How is that possible?
I remember being 5 years old, watching my brother and his friend play this all afternoon. This was the same afternoon where they taught me the words Fuck, Boner, and the N word.
My mum washed my brothers mouth out with soap, and made his friend write her an apology letter.
Good times.
The hammer is useless in the Periodic Park track since the cannon has more range and its ammo is infinite
I dont remember the AI being so forgiving, is this a later release of the game or something?
Are you playing NTSC version? The footage makes me wonder. The AI seems less rubber bandy here than in the PAL version I am playing. I wonder if that is the case.
Description :) yes

My problems started in the Advanced cup and onwards, Walter is pretty much OP, so broken :(
I remember playing this game with my brother. He used to kick my ass cause he had better cars and I couldn't beat baguette balance.
Grand Prix 2 Engine Sound
The characters in this game look like they're from Wallace and Gromit.
2nd
Please
Well so do you and all your family so no big deal
@@Solaar_Punk Wow sick burn princess.
Cool
43:11, Walter hit himself, ha, looser! I still hate him after 26 years :)
If only the Formula car was used in more tracks :(
ah years have been wasted on playing micro maniacs ( the better version imo)
Меня нравится игра это
The tutorial bird starts sounding a bit filthy towards the end 😂😂
Gosh that was amazing, you sure you haven't done this before 😂😂👌no wonder us 90s kids are fucked
Great racing considering how the difficulty of the cpu skyrockets from hard onwards. Game I couldnt and probably won’t ever complete.. and least you didn’t play as fckng spider like most people do on other playthroughs I’ve seen
I second everything you said, although I could never complete the last race on the first challenge
Its sounds like im watching cbeebies
Where is the post-it on the fridge whit the to-do list?
Turn your cheats off and I’ll challenge you…
there are no cheats used, just savestates

Love triangle was our go to multiplayer
Bloody hell, I remember playing this as a kid, was ecstatic when I made it to Rock Hard difficulty, then basically failed to make it past Pot Luck with the exception of one time, a run in which I made it to Textbook Manoeuvre...and I failed
Don't remember playing it much after that 🥲
