I'm watching every N64 game, and I mean all of them. The twist is, the next game I watch is randomly selected, so I have no clue whats coming next.
Lol, I'm doing the exact same thing. I'm just watching in whatever order comes up next.
I see what you did there…
I wish I could beat any N64 game, and I mean any of them. The twist is, I can't, so I will watch ThaBeast beat everyone as randomly selected, and I have no clue how he does it.
@@rfk223 sad thing is I don't think you're joking
@@kevinb1096 hahah well yeah, im bad at videogames
"I personally never heard of it"
Thab - For almost every single N64 game in existence.
8:15 Each "Learn how to be" book has a subtitle.
8:21 "a demolition expert"
8:24 "a dolphin trainer"
8:37 "a supermodel"
Learn how to be? Learn how to be what? Lol I was laughing when I heard that
The books were all labelled something, 'learn how to be a dolphin trainer', '...a demolition expert', '... a supermodel', etc
You know it's a tough game when Thab wears 4 different t-shirts.
4 shirts, 1 shower
This seems like a game that could have been made by ten people in 4 months.
We really loved that game back in the days. What was extremely interesting was that it supported multiplayer for up to 8 people locally, where two people shared one controller, one steering with the d-pad, the other with the C-buttons^^
Yep, this game was AWESOME for multiplayer! I did a lot of 4 player play and a tiny bit of 8 player play and it was a blast!
This guy is criticizing the camera but he doesn’t realize its necessary for multiple players. It also works well as a handicap. The last racers risk being destroyed and first racers can’t see far ahead.
I loved Micro Machines back on the Mega Drive. It’s really a multi player game more than anything. The later games on the Mega Drive had a multi tap built into the cartridge.
Two players could also share the same controller, with each holding one side, allowing you to play four players with only two controllers. Pretty clever.
The books on the art table are actually very specific! I feel like the designers had fun putting stuff players might not notice because of the fast gameplay. I really like it when games have stuff like that.
7:57 learn how to be a dolphin trainer
8:02 learn how to be a demolition expert
8:04 learn how to be a super model
9:37 free junk in every box cereal
Oh WOW! I remember LOVING this game as a kid. I loved it so much I got out my own spare decks of cards, and Legos and K'nex, and rulers, and a bunch of other supplies... and a couple card tables. Then I built a little city with everything, and created this awesome micro machine race course of my own. My folks at the time (I'm not a kid any more by a LONG shot, but they are still around) tolerated having that thing up for nearly an entire month. That was rare for them and my play-sets back then.
Your narration is great in these n64 games. Harvest Moon narration is the best so far. Even your Mario maker videos you narrated when sound didn't record is hilarious.
I absolutely love this series dude! It's such a genius idea, thoroughly entertaining, and always exciting to wonder what's coming next!
I'm in it for the long haul Beast!
Finishing Castlevania video thinking: “aww, have to wait another week”! Only to see this video pop up immediately after it! Loving the double uploads thab!
Wait Starcraft is a game on there? I forgot about that lmao, i'm hyped for that one
This looks like the the kind of game you'd get to the end of and then notice the 'change camera position' setting
Hi!
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy this series, I even subbed for it. I binged all episodes up to this point within the last week and am looking forward to the next ones! I appretiate all the work you put in, having to write scripts for all of these surely is a lot of work.
Also, this game was the first one I didn't know before despite it looking really fun, so I might give it a go. Thanks for introducing me to it!
Cheers!
Played this a fair bit as a child. Loved it. Since it supported 8 players on 4 controllers it was a fantastic group game
I love this series! AND to top it off this was one of my favorite games on the NES still a goodie on N64.
I had a huge collection of micromachines as a kid and too bad I got rid of them as I got older, had a really cool case I'm sure may be worth some money. 🤦♂️
Micro Machines were rad. The best were the ones with light up headlights.
Idk about the N64 version, but the SNES version of this game had a really neat feature in regards to the camera for multiplayer. Instead of having multi-cam view, the camera would just zoom out (mode7 back then) to encompass all players. This put the player in first at a disadvantage because they had to rely on insane reflexes or memory of the tracks in order to keep their lead, whereas the people behind them would be able to see a big chunk of what was coming up and react accordingly. It was a really great way to include a catchup mechanic without including a catchup mechanic.
It did have a max, though- and if you fell too far behind, or off the track, it would teleport you right behind the next player with some momentum along the track. Sometimes this was a bit trolly, as it didn't give you enough momentum to make it across certain gaps, and you'd fall off the table and respawn again, sometimes in the same place over and over again, flinging you off the table, until the people on the other side made enough progress past it.
This game looks really cute. I think it would have been a lot better if the cars had used tank speed consistently. That would have given more time to actually react to the turns.
Had a bunch of this toy cars when I was a kid, they came in little packs. Never knew they made a videogame out of it. Interestingly I played with them like that.. built tracks with chalk on the floor and made some obstacles, my mom did not like it. ^^'
I think the game had more of a release in the UK and Europe as it was published by Codemasters along with MicroMachines being relatively popular.. Hot Wheels were the dominant kids' toys manufacturer States ways so they probably decided on a limited release of cartridges.
I'm the other way around, I had played the games when I was a child but I didn't know there were toys.
They made more than one. There was several made for different consoles
Pretty sure they made a Micro Machine game for NES or SNES, maybe both, that was pretty fun. Super easy, but fun.
Heck yes. I loved that NES game. It honestly looked almost as good as this N64 game. I really thought this one would look better.
I played the SNES game of this series with my cousin when I was really young, we absolutely loved it. I had no idea there was a sequel on the N64!
The first game in the series was in the 8 bit NES. Similar tracks same racers.
Aside from NES and SNES, there is a Micro Machine game for Gamecube as well
I used to play this game with my cousin, we loved it...
Nostalgia hit...
Good job, I really enjoy your videos!!
Spent so many hours playing this as a kid. The camera angle made this game pretty tough especially as a little kid lol
The creativity of the tracks were so cool.
I absolutely loved this series! Played every release up to V3. Level design was genius and I actually really liked the challenge, trying to memorize the track to not fall off or get stuck. Spike was always my pick :).
Also had a boatload of MM + a case-turn-into-city to play in… ah such good memories 🤩
What a wild ride, I thought you had won several times before the end!
Used to have such a good time playing this 4 player as a kid. Just total chaos.
One thing about this game that I distinctly remember is that it would somehow always end up deleting all of the save data on our memory cards. Very rage inducing.
The Dwayne face lmfao
These games are such a throwback love this series
I had forgotten about so many n64 games…thanks for bringing it all back!
Yet ANOTHER game I started as a kid but never finished! Lol your guys pic is too funny
Snes MM was the best! It was so much fun!
This game was legendary! It's so much fun to watch someone play it for the first time, and explain whats going on. This was the first 3D micro machines game, and I loved it!
Great video! I played the PS1 version of this game so much as kid. It is so much more fun in multiplayer - you could play with up to 8 players which was total chaos!
Lmao at the cover of this game saying
“Free vehicle inside”
Love the level design in this one!
This series is great, subbed
looks like a really cool game. love this series, keep it up!
I love this series
Micro Machines 2 was one of my favorite games to play with a friend!
This game looks great but oy, that camera.
2-player mode is ridiculously fun in the Micro Machine series. My brother and myself used to get loaded on Mike's Hard and Vexx and run these all the time. Some of the best times of my life. :)
The supervan city with a pack of micro machines was like the most badass Christmas gift I ever got as a kid.
This cracked me up the books are not called “learn how to be....” hahahaha the rest of the title is at the bottom of the book. I paused the screen on one book and it was “learn how to be a dolphin trainer” didnt check if the others were different but they may be. Also I subbed I love this series! It’s unique when you would think others do it. Keep up the grind man you rock
Yes they are all different I noticed
If I remember correctly you started this series not liking Racinggames that much - its very impressive how well you got in all this games over time!
Your dry and smart sense of humor along with your soothing non over the top voice over are an real amazing and adictive combo.
Now I got to watch the entire series.
And I think u cute
My favourite video of the series so far!
What a mad multiplayer game this was! So many fond memories of this one!
Well done! I gave up on this racer so many times but after watching this I’m gonna give it another try.
This is really fun. Thanks for doing it.
Wow I didn't know this game even existed. Micro Machines were really popular with kids in the late 80s. We used to bring them to school and trade.
This game looks mad fun, gonna have to test it with some friends
The way you say vehicle makes me smile 😊😊 great series Thab
I love this series so much!
Man, I’m actually sad that I didn’t know about this game as a kid. From seeing this video, I can tell I would’ve loved it back then.
I remember playing the sequel to this on DS for HOURS and it was sooo amazing
Micro machines is one of the only N64 games I've played, but I thought it was incredible
I’m pooping everytime I’m watching you beat every N64 game. EVERYTIME. The twist is the next poop I take could be anytime anywhere so I have no clue where I’m poopin next.
I’m so pumped for next week! That game is so difficult!!
I love these games. And you are right, playing them with a bunch of friends is a blast. The tanks are really fun in multiplayer too. :D
thanks for this series thab
this game is unreasonably hard
this is such a cool concept serie please dont die before finishing it
Thank you I hope you make it too
Woohoo, two videos this week! KEEP EM COMING =)
Nice episode!
Double header release. Love the series.
I think I played this game but just remembered right now seen you playing it haha
I had Micro Machines when I was a kid. They were cool.
this brought back so many memories. The PC version of this had a track maker!
shadows of the empire was one of the first n64 games to come out. it was really freaking weird. kind of hard to get into, but once you get the hang of it, it's kind of a breeze and a lot of fun. it's just really hard to get into at first. even on the easiest difficulties. it took me forever, but it's actually a lot of fun on the harder difficulties.
I like your series of beating every N64 game, (though, probably, I won't watch every single video). THIS was very interesting because it was an unknown gem here in Germany, and I played it several years with my best friends like 14 years ago. Together with Mario Party, Mario Kart 64, and Wave Race 64, we always had a great time playing these old games. I mean, most of us already had a PS3 at home and we still sucked N64 multiplayer games on the actual console together, (always stoned). Micro Machines was one of the Top 3 multiplayer games in our clique.
My brother and I lived for actual Micromachine's. This game does not even come close to what imagination and the real thing could do 🤣 but it's strange. The N64 was my transition from playing outside with with toys like that to video games about my toys. I never realized that.
Dwayne’s face in the first frame 👀
You can tell this game is a love letter to the micro machines for sega genesis
these were fun streams to watch
I remember playing this game at a sleepover when I was a kid. Awesome time!
wow i really loved this one!
When you're old enough to have played with actual Micro Machines IRL as a kid...
I played this game a ton on the Megadrive (Genesis) as a kid, with the same characters but 2d.
Loving the series, can't wait for Goemans adventure. Give or take how goemoan is spelt lmao
Learn How to be: A Demolition Expert, A Dolphin Trainer. These devs were witty.
I think the visuals look really good for N64.
I love the way you say vehicle
It's a arcade racing game... and frequently need to drive TOWARD the camera. And single-digit-frames to react to turns. Game design 101.
That ‘bunsen burner contraption’ is actually a hookah!! As if 😂
Liked this one a lot
finally. Nanomachines: the game
Thank you for your service.
This would be a fun remaster
Back in the 90's thankfully my mother spent wayy too much time on HSC or QVC and found this game on there and surprised my younger brother and I with it back in my elementary school days. We loved the game. The only other gold cartridges we had besides the Zelda series. I never figure out what the switch in the back of the cartridge was from. I only rented this game. I beat the original one... This one wasn't different enough
One of my favorite games growing up
I'd love to see this remade as Micro Machines Maker
This game looks really smooth for the N64
I am excited for the next game. I had it as a kid. It was brutal.
This is such a great example of how simple but creative design can combine to make a more varied and enjoyable game. "3D" really limited the scope and gameplay of a lot of games in this generation.
the N64 needs more racing games I think
Love this series. But the way you say "vehicle" 😅 it's like Stewy on family guy saying cool whip.
Stoked for Shadow of The Empire! Heck yes!!
The next game coming is one of my favorites n64 games.
They were kinda like hot wheels except they were tiny. Hence "micro" machines. They were popular in the 80s early 90s. I had a bunch of them when I was a kid. They were cool as shit. Had really cool playsets like Super Van City. It folded up into a van and opened into a city with streets and gas stations and all.
