Easy conversion lads. If you had all the necessary bits to hand ( rad/intercooler/pipe work, engine mount, frst ecu/loom/other ecu, petrol fuel tank/upgraded pump/lines, other odds n sods and depending on what gearbox you already have in the van) you could have it done in a day or 2.
Surely you have a fiesta full of parts you could use 😆😆😆

@@TheWestysworld should be ok as that is the way alot of people do it. I went forged pistons & rods as don.t like the idea of double head gaskets

Fuel tank and exhaust are gonna be your issues on the van. Exhaust you could get custom made or get the welder out. Tank you either use a car tank or mount in the back a cell. I built the MK4 vans not Mk6 with turbos.
How low has the compression ended up that it is going to need 20psi for 250bhp? Pretty much standard 2.0 zetec engines do that kind on power on 10-12psi.
Nice video I love escort mk6 vans. My dad had one when he worked for BT I remember going round in it as a kid. I might buy one eventually as you can pick them up for next to nothing and do a similar conversion to you using a zetec engine but probably naturally aspirated. Good luck with the build it looks fantastic can't wait to see it finished.
I love the van as it is prefecly fine an cheap to run for work is ideal. 20lbs of boost for a daily workhorse though I cant see that block lasting long especially with some Vauxhall internals. They make their engines from cast chocolate you know

Ib5 is no different to the bc box

@@jase_llan ib5 has bigger bearings an the main shaft has better bearing that doesnt wear shaft away mine is out of a mk6 diesal scort van an gears out of a puma 1.7
An series 2 lsd which needs to be machined for crown wheel
I think its the later types ib5 as it uses the 3 piece syncros
@@danglee1786 nice mismatch of parts there, I've left mine alone so far... Got a MK6 Fiesta ST with the IB5+, tend to be reliable but could do with an LSD! My track car has the IB6.
