- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we have another epic RubixRaptor video lined up for you all. The Horus Heresy sounds like quite an interesting time in the Warhammer universe. I'm familiar with 40K, but 30K sounds like a, "more civilized age" like the memes would depict. It's incredibly fun to watch these snippets of the Warhammer universe in the Arma 3 engine and learn cool new things every video. I absolutely do recommend that you go ahead and check out RubixRaptor as well as the original video to show some support for the source material!

What's funny, is that the Solar Auxilia still exists as their own guard Regiment in 40k. They're just treated like special forces now.
Yep, and they can go against chaos and renegade astartes
You know you've regressed when what was Infantry has now become Special Forces.
0:52 Okay so at the end of the golden age of the imperium, the warp tunnel network was nearly complete, when Horus, one of the primarchs, fell to the corruption of The Warp. He sabotaged the network's construction, and made a sort of civil war against the imperium, actually gathering many people and space marines to his cause, and corrupting his entire chapter into Chaos Marines, If I recall correctly. With the help of the leader of the mechanicus at the time, he made it all the way to Earth, where he fought against The Emperor Himself in melee combat. The Emperor frantically tried to break Horus' Corruption, not trying to hurt his son but snap him out of the madness, but as the fight turned in Horus' Favor because of that, he realized Horus was too far gone. The Emperor nearly lost the fight due to this, bringing both of them to the point where one decisive blow could end it.
The story goes that then, The Emperor let lose a Lethal bolt of psychic power on Horus' Heart, killing him, but also putting The Emperor in a coma due to his wounds and the psychic strain. Entombed in a gilded life-support apparatus, there the emperor remains for 10,000 years. The warp beacon he once singlehandedly powered now sustained by the sacrifice of countless psyckers.
Recently, signs of The Emperor's Awakening from this seem to be occuring, as he even possessed one of the primarchs to do battle agaonst one of the corrupted primarchs, defeating them, condemning his corrupted son for abandoning their duty, and stopping a planet from being taken over by Nurgle, but that's a story for another time.
So in summary, The Horus Heresy was the fall of the golden age imperium at the hands of the first primarch to be corrupted by Chaos.
This is a VERY oversimplified explanation
Yep, you gave the best simplyfied resume
not entirely accurate, but close enough for government work.
@@MechInterest What'd I get wrong? I only know the basics of the lore.
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606you miss one thing, Horus DID not ruin the Emperor's webway Proyect, that was Magnus The red.
Wasn't Magnus trying to save the Emperor, but he failed in so many spectacularly bad wats at it, that it made matters so much worse?
They're playing as Solar Auxilia, one of the Imperial Guard type regiments that were, well, common isn't the word, but more numerous.
They're equipped with heavy personal armor, lasguns that are way better than the ones in common use ten-thousand years later, and have access to weaponry that can kill Astartes with a singel-shot. They also had berserker-cyborgs that could absolutely wreck Marines, so much so that they were "forgotten" how to recreate them on purpose.
As such, they were basically the next best thing to Space Marines you could get.
And they could beat Marines, as it turned out, though not without a lot of issues.
4:19 I mean, it was OBJECTIVELY a better time for Humanity.
Tome?
i like Frostmancy myself, good starting Tome for Lizard nations.
@@warlerker Time. I meant to say Time.
30K Warhammer is the fall from Prosperity of Humanity's Golden Age to the Grim Dark & Dank of 40K Warhammer
In Dum Dum terms (for people like me).
Humanity in a highly technological and prosperous period of time with super powered beings and weaponry (that being in the year 30,000 or 30K) has a massive rebellion within its super powered ranks due to inner family turmoil of a (not God) Super Powered Being Emperor leading all of Humanity and his (not Demi God) Super Powered children and their generically modified (kinda sons) soldiers.
Half the Super Powered (Demi Gods) children of the Emperor turning against their father (the Emperor of Mankind) due to a mix of Ethereal Demon Gods (think of like 4 Lucifer's in a warping reality dimension connected yet not connected to our reality) secretly corrupting a couple of these Sons (before the rebellion and during this rebellion), and also due to bad parenting from the Emperor (like blowing up one of his sons homeworld for trying to worship him like a god, or allowing another one of his sons to have a device attached to his skull to feel nothing but pain and anger all the time because why not) mixing together to cause a galaxy wide rebellious shit storm across millions of planets (and somehow there has been events worse than this in Warhammer even before humanity took to the stars itself) that destroyed not only this conjoined galaxy wide Human dominate Empire across the Milky Way, but also destroyed a safe travelling pocket dimension for all of humanity.
This also caused all of humanity to lose hundreds of thousands of years in technology, knowledge, and growth of civilizations. Some planets even reverting back to feudal age like empires with spears, swords, and crossbows with (in some cases) remnants of the old humanities technology being present like giant forest cutting mechs (about three to five stories high) being somehow converted to weapons of war that are now only operational due to a soul being 'believed' (yes, being believed and prayed into reality like you would in a religion) into this giant war machine that can only have a pilot that holds somewhat similar values to this machine soul in order to control it.
Also this machine soul slowly sucks the life force out of the pilots soul until they are a husk due to the difference of power between the pilots soul and the Machines soul.
Where intelligence, knowledge, growth, prosperity, and common sense were found (common sense being the slightly less found even in 30K) prominently and throughout the whole of this human empire.
Religious Zealotry, Authoritarianism, backwards ass thinking, more loss of knowledge, starvation, more rebellion's, and the absolute almost guaranteed fall of humanity is now the state of the Imperium after the giant cluster fuck of the Horus Heresy in 30K.
40K being the aftermath and result of that big family argument and all the decline that it brought with it.
There is no hope for anyone in the Warhammer galaxy that understand the concept of hope, be it human or alien.
"Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods."
30K from a standpoint of writing, technology, tactics, lore and enjoyment is in fact better than 40K.
I still find it amazing how Arma 3’s engine manages to hold together with epic shit like this
You haven't seen absolute lunacy that can happen in ARMA 3
it seems they went with more familiar Red color of 40k World Eaters than the era appropriate Blue & White of 30k World Eaters but that would probably go over the average viewers head
Or it’s late enough in the heresy to just be covered in blood
Lazer gun goes pew, you now have no leg
8:20 Well that was a Lance strike and those can be done in 40k, it's probably just that the Warhammer mods for this game finally have those as Support call-ins so now we're seeing them in Jay's video.
luv me volkites
luv me jetbikes
luv me Contemptors
luv me Mk. II armor
'ate Primaris
'ate Cawl
'ate Erebus
'ate Games Workshop
Simple as
I do like Primaris though because it is an advancement of technology for 40k also the neo volkite pistol is really cool.
11:41 The Mechanicus probably still has a few laying around... Honestly, most of the IoM's technical problems and regression stem from the AdMech being shady assholes at the best of times, repressive of actual understanding and innovation of technology, or, in the case of the single most IMPORTANT relic they have, they don't actually understand what they're doing. That relic I mentioned? It's a ship with a vast swath of knowledge of mankind's _lost technology with a complete archive of stuff from the Dark Age of Technology era._ They have something that is greater in importance for Mankind's technology than the Helm Memory Core in Battletech, they have a way to make what is essentially LosTech no longer LosTech and because they don't understand how it works can't actually USE the data on it! Sure there's a Machine Spirit that threatens to consume the minds of all who interface with it but still, _there IS a single thing that could undo most of the problems the Imperium faces on the Technological Front._
That Mac is called a knight and that is the smaller version, and they still exist in 40K. Fun fact, they’re the actual war versions of them. The other ones are well farming, tools, and tree choppers.
11:45 Pretty sure the tech stagnated after the HH and much of it was lost during the HH, including the STCs, or Standard Template Constructs, that contained the sum of all human knowledge and an AI that could explain it to anyone.
There IS that one ship in the AdMech's possession though, the Speranza, which DOES actually have the means of completely reversing the stagnation...
@@kabob0077 But do you think the higher ups of the Administratum would allow that? They and their allies in the High Lords benefit from the Imperium's weaknesses, more ability to lord their power over them and less weapons to allow the many arms of the Imperium to talk back to them.
@@sonofjack6286 Oh I know, it's just that there does exist at least a single way to reverse the stagnation but so long as the Emperor rests on the Golden Throne and can't browbeat the AdMech into submission and compliance that hope is something that cannot come to pass... Unless of course Roboute Guilliman and his AdMech nerd friend Cawl can do it instead but then GW would just get rid of the Speranza anyway because of Muh Status Quo and Muh Eternal War and Muh Chaos.

3:34 And that's how he got corrupted by Slaanesh.
If you want a crash course in Warhammer that is good reaction fodder, Bricky made a handfull of videos explaining factions and the timeline. If you want an in-depth deep dive Luetin09 has over 140 videos about the universe and at least 5 1.5 hour long videos just about The God-Emperor
The dearh toll of the horus heresy was in the hundreds of billions, if i remember correctly
future plunders dig up nuclear waste thinking the warnings were ancient superstition, but unlike the scene from raiders of the lost ark, not as quick but equally horrific
7:00 World Eaters probably: ⬆➡⬇⬇⬇
Think some introductory warhammer 40k lore reactions would be cool
Imagine if the developers decided to place a model of Angry Ron during this battle or Kharn.. That would be entertaining
I don't know what "Horros" meant, but I wanted to watch Kip see the Horrific Horrors of the Horus Heresy.
4:44 _It's understandable..._
To be fair people dieing in mast would turn away most
There were much more mech variants and mechs total in 30k than in 40k. Contemptor dreadnoughts were thrown into battle in droves while whole wars were practically being fought by Titans and Knights alone. Don't get me started on how many automatons were being used by the Mechanicus and certain space marine factions like the Iron Warriors and Thousand Sons.
16:56 Kip, he's got Plot Armor.
hell yeah they gonna roast you.
also weapon and other stuff in 40k look fully different in visual and power level from 30k because most of technology was almost or fully lost by that point. and they basically creating them from incomplete blueprints they STILL have or find or create fully new one.
Woo, just in time for some plasma donating!
Hey kip you should watch brickys warhammer 40k timeline video and his 2 videos on the factions of 40k there very good
Factions AND Space Marine legions
tolkien used the word gay to express joy and positivity? that actually explains a lot...
not just tolkien, it was common english slang
decades later you would also get food bearing the name ''faggots', and was used in said context in a christmas song, ''fairytale of new york'' by the pogues
but of course the asswipes got their way and it became a slur, this was after it became slang for a cigarette in the UK, because it was easy to relate it to a blowjob and claim plausible deniabilty because ''i was just joking''
That’s actually what the word ‘gay’ organized meant before it was hijacked.
*originally
Damn autocorrect
30k they hand versions of weapons can erased entire planets like volkite mega canon, grav mega canon ho can make 99,999999 in richter skale they can sunk in to ocean entaire us continet.
30K sounds wild.
9:33 yeah, in the first few chapter of Dracula the POV character describes his dreams as “very queer” which is just… amazing, with a modern spin.
The current biohazard and radiation warning symbols come from a scientific study that showed hundreds of different symbols, none of which meant anything at the time, to people and having them rate various things about them. They chose the highest rated for naturally implying danger as the warning symbols for radiation and biohazards. If they are still human then they should not think "happy" as it was literally chosen for making humans think "danger" in the absence of prior meaning.
There's also the simple fact that in all likelihood, a long term nuclear waste disposal facility is going to be maintained and have its custodianship passed down between successor nations/cultures.
If future archeologists don't know what nuclear waste/dangerous radiation is, they have bigger problems than not being able to read 21st century warning lables.
@@RipOffProductionsLLC Your comment makes zero sense on so many levels.
1) Your point is moot because they literally did take precautions against that scenario.
2) Your scenario completely discounts the possibility of catastrophic depopulation, by volcano, nuclear war, etc., of a region containing such a storage facility
3) What do you think "nuclear waste/radiation" looks like? They are unremarkable metal rods giving off completely invisible radiation. You need a Geiger counter or similar to even know what it is, and that is not something that archeologists habitually carry.
4) Here's a scenario for you; We have various facilities containing such dangerous thing as radiation and biohazards in the US. War breaks out with China. China launches a mainland invasion. Chinese soldiers can't read English. These non-language-based warning signs would give them at least the basic idea that an area should be treated as dangerous so they are less likely to accidentally reintroduce SMALL POX to the world.
Man I wish I could tell you everything about 40k but unless you wanna vc I physically can’t fit enough words in even 10 RUclips comments
if you want to find out a lot about war-hammer 40k theirs other you tube channels like bricky or isander and coda or even luten09 if you want to see weirder stuff just um it might be a little long also maybe take a look at warhammer 40k gothic armada 2 to experience the fall of cadia
FOR THE EMPOROR AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH
Kip thinking bout how far technology would advance between 30k and 40k is hilarious. This poor heretical normie doesn't realize that technology has gone backwards for nearly all of that time gap.
Sweet! First time i get here so early
Just watch bricky of you want to know more
You really should do a reaction of brickys Warhammer 40k lore vids
I've been planning to. Hopefully after Spooktober ends I'll have some.
