    Interesting that Chateau Lynch Bages was able to pull the price increases off. Sleeper for me based on quality to price is Chateau Durfort-Vivens, a second growth Margaux.

    this is fascinating stuff. not from a wine perspective but all the stuff going around it… everything is so score oriented, no wonder corruption is a powerful source😅

      That's a fair comment to make, though any serious broker should really be looking at scores against yields against price, and they should have tasted the wine, too, so that leaves room for independent feedback, assiduous analysis and fair benchmarking. I look in particular at four main critics, which helps to provide a more rounded understanding for me of the critical consensus on a wine. 100-100-100-100 would obviously be a knockout, but 95-95-95-99 allows you to judge that a wine is likely closer to 95 than 99. Hope that helps somewhat!

    Quick question - how can Neal and Jane be so far apart?...I read that during En Primeur the weather was very changeable day to day and this could have affected the samples?...
