- Helllo DIY"S! This is one of the easiest projects that you can do to add ice, water or both to your readily equipped unit.
This appliance connector features durable polyethylene tubing, push-to-connect fittings and a self-tapping saddle valve. The push-to-connect fittings are universal and have a captive sleeve for lasting, leak-free service.
Complete ice-maker kit with push-to-connect fittings, take your time and make sure that they are seated.
Tools needed: Drill, 1/4 - inch bit. 1/2 drill bit to be able to thread water line. Screwdriver, either a regular or Phillips bit. A little patience.
Brass saddle valve ensures a quality, long lasting product for your project and 25 ft. of polyethylene tubing makes it easy to reach water supply.
3-year limited warranty. Universal compatibility.
4 important FIY's! Note:
1. This cannot be used with PEX tubing. It will not work.
2. This is for residential use only. But ALWAYS check with the landlord Before
installing this product. Use common sense and respect.
3. Is it possible to buy just the Threaded quick-connect adapter? Your
hardware will have it.
4. Yes, you can connect this to copper line.
An update from a subscriber! Shout out to Donna!
Do not use that bracket that comes with the kit. It rusts, then water everywhere. That is why these things have such a bad reputation for leaks. Get copper T feeding into your cold line, copper flex tubing for the line. It will save you an insurance claim down the road.
If you have issues, try this fix.
Thank you Dan Akroyd
Someone took the detailed instructions we needed to know how it connects to the fridge line.
If you call the 800 number they can send a pdf or go online. Let us know how you did.
This video is no way helpful we need to knw how it connects to the fridge
When installing what exactly do you do with red clip
Sorry for the delay. The res clip is a friction clip that helps keep it all together. Thank you for asking!
Show how to do it, no how it was done.
Since you have the copper pipe open at the end, why not just add a T on the end of it and be able to hook up the sink water and the ice maker with one simple T? I would never dream of puncturing my copper pipe if I have the end open and ready to install anything you want on it. Seems crazy to me.
We had a disaster with this. The sink was leaking, and we were away and could not get home. The neighbor watching our place turned all the water off. Ruined the ice maker.
Excuse me, when did you actually attach this to the fridge?
Approximately 3 months ago. When we assembled it, the plastic couplers did give us an issue. You may want to re assemble it and push firmly to get it to stop? Please let me know. Thank you.
@@PSUPunguy I Can’t get it off to check the connection
Ours is leaking a fridge connection
Check the gasket. When we replaced our line the gasket flipped causing it to leak.
This video is horrible. Doesn't instruct anything.
How do you connect the plastic tube to the valve ?
I pushed it and it won't go in.
Whats the plastic red piece at the end of the fitting on the valve to the 1/4 inch plastic hose ???
I'm scared I'm going to break it off.
NOBODY at all on RUclips shows how to do any of this.
There's no installation instructions what so ever, and the manual is terrible !!!!
I just saw this was illegal anyways, so I guess I'll take it back...before I break it trying to blindly figure it out.
I guess don't buy Everbilt !!!
I am not sure. I followed the directions that were included. Call the 800 number. Then let me know. Thank you!
