Thanks man, yeah was going to say. Just use the find feature. Also an update, this works with current issues. Use the same method and just find the error BEFORE clicking .A folder. If you can't find it there, try looking it up to see what folder your getting the error from, then apply the same process as what he did in the video. For reference, the general ERROR message reads as follow -----The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
For those saying it didn't work, use the admin group and not a user. Works perfectly fine, my new PC has had a random com issues here and there, I've fixed all of them but forgot how to when I spotted a new one after windows update, followed this using admin and im good.
It's a Microsoft Windows bug and therefore their responsibility to fix it instead of having millions of people going through this useless exercise. It's been a problem for months. Apparently it's low priority.
i have several diferent errors doing this for each opf them is too much. my computer keeps shutting off.. should I reset the whole windows.? with new key
Hi, is there any way to identify what the actual application is? If so, then you could just uninstall the problematic application if it was something that you didn't use, or uninstall and reinstall and doing that maybe would resolve the issue. cheers JB
