Weapons are some of the most underappreciated lore items in the game. They damn near have the other half of the backstory of all the characters we've got playable, soon-to-be or characters who're part of the history. About damn time they started implementing them in the story with more importance 🙌

For example, Diluc’s JP VA is the voice of Giorno, Alhaitham’s is Weather Report, the iconic Jotaro is Wriothesley (Wrio even goes Ora Ora in the JP voice lines when he punches). I can name more but they’ve got some cracked VAs in here.

Tbh i m very interested to know why and how Kinich's entire elemental power has a digital theme. Like..we know that the elemental powers and moves take form of something close to the wielder/wielder has some sort of sentient control over it/reflects users personality. How is his attacks all pixelated? Is he Kenma of Genshin? Is it an ode to his ancient name Malipo, and the fact that he is responsible for weighing choices...almost like how a programmed computer makes decisions based on set commands?
Dendro is a very computery element - just look at Nahida, Kaveh, and Alhaitham. Which makes sense, Irminsul is basically a tree that functions like a computer.

JP is as much a foreign dub as EN is and EN is exceptionally good to the point a lot of my friends who started with JP out of habit switched to EN. The moment EN dub is done well, it offers something I miss in JP and that is way wider variety of voice color and intonations. JP voices ultimatelly have maybe, what, 10-15 character stereotypes they are taught to sound like and within the stereotypes they are practically indistinguishable in terms of expressing the character. It matters little who voices this onee-san because there is only one way a true onee-san can express herself. EN studios also give way more freedom to voice actors to improvize and hence breathe more life into their characters. Zhongli's low HP quotes or Itto as a whole serve as a good examples. Ultimately, it's simply more enjoyable to experience good EN VO because it's more varied.

The Japanese are known for having a type of dubbing in which they believe what they say too much. Also...Paimon is unbearable in the English language, at least in the Japanese language I can stand her a little more 😹
Everybody here remembering Tsuda-san for his iconic roles as badass characters in shounen animes while I'm here, loving him most for his role as The Beholder (The Man in Black) from To Your Eternity. Ah yes, nothing like listening to the mysterious morally ambiguous creator of the world (in To Your Eternity) narrating Fushi's journey of learning what it's like to live as an immortal being in an ever-changing world, and coming to realize that he will eventually outlive all his loved ones.

Everyone has their own Tsudaken role that is always in their mind when they hear it. (For me, it's Takamasa Kujo from the Idolish7 series. It always scares me a bit because of that! XD .)

@@BlueDaisy33 it has nothing to do with fanart. she got into trouble over casting in another unrelated anime dub, when people attacking her for replacing the previous cast. i get that some fan are very protective/loyal, but it not good to war with other VA... it most unfortunate, I hope she don't quite VA because of the bullying.
