    Great job sir! You stopped at so many cool spots. Looks like amazing spots to take the fishing kayaks and camera bag! Been out once but you found quite awesome looking places that might not get a lot of pressure!

      It's a fascinating area, with endless routes in and around the delta it seems. Thanks for watching.

    Living in Sacramento I've always found the Delta fascinating. Thanks for the video. One little note of correction, the the Delta Queen was towed to the Mississippi after World War 2 and used for excursions on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers until safety rules prohibited wooden cruise ships. The Delta Queen's identical twin is the Delta King which is permanently docked in Old Sacramento and used as hotel and restaurant. As I understand both ships were build in Stockton, CA.

    Is the field area below sea level?

      From all the current literature I've read, and according to a few locals I spoke to, most of the fields are below sea level.

    Thanks for the new California video, do you plan to film some area closer to Yosemite park? I was there one time and it looked like a Mars planet for me (desert like place)

      I have two videos where I'm exploring near the West entrance to Yosemite Natl. Park and along the Merced River. Yosemite is very diverse, and hiking the higher elevations looks very different than the valley floor. It's absolutely beautiful anywhere you explore. Thanks for watching.

    What are the pump stations for?

    • @mycastawayblues
      @mycastawayblues  8 месяцев назад +1

      As explained to me by a few locals I met on the delta, these are used to transfer water from one point to another, i.e., the delta to the aqueduct.

      Your perception is good, and close, but it's fatigue you're picking up on. Major fatigue. I recorded this on the way home from a 3-day road trip, and I probably should have just continued driving. But I'd always wanted to see the lower (south) portion of the delta, so swung through and recorded as I explored. It is what it is, and probably a dud of a video, but since I recorded it thought I'd share, anyway. Thanks for coming along.

      It's both, Hornitos and Hornitos Road. California's foothills through Gold Country are fascinating..
