So this method is braid at the beginning and then twist? So for a touch up you would just retie or retwist?
Yes. You can interlock on retwist. Interlocking will last longer

How long do the reties take you for a head of locs this size? Considering them and wondering what the “sitting down” commitment will be. Thank you!!
So normally, if the hair did well in between reties, no more than 3.5 - 4 hours. the further the client gets into their hair locing the quicker the reties are.
How do you feel about the pink and green crochet hook for reties? I have extensions and got my first retie and the roots seem so thin compared to the rest of the loc. Also when I got my install initially they did not loc the roots. So when I got my retie they were saying that creates an issue? Just curious!
I think the pink and green ones are too big to use for reties but it’s more about what you’re comfortable with using. What was the method of install? They could’ve used a little too much hair however your hair should thicken as time goes on. They didn’t interlock the roots for the install? That shouldn’t cause a problem. I would have to see to really assess what’s going on though ☺️
i just got mine done with qvr hair too, i’m having some slippage and getting discouraged about keeping them in. is there any advice you can give me? thanks
Congrats on your install! The best advice I can give you is relax and let your hair adjust. Slippage is normal. Dont freak out 😊

Hi! So about the same way. Every situation is different but normally braiding it back in and twisting it down

Can you show a video with you doing a retie on the edges. How do you keep from losing locs? How do you know how tight to make it? What do you do with VERY thin pieces?
Sure I'll work on doing a video like that. Every situation is unique. Especially when dealing with different women and their hair loss. generally I like to keep the rotations at a two point not to tight
How many bags do you use on a full head?
I always buy four to be safe but normally about 2.5 to 3

Reties are normally every 4 - 5 weeks. Yes the hair will loc together

Hi! Thats normal. You can use a little product to smooth it down or braid pass the natural hair depending on how long it is

Hi Shar’del! I just got mine installed after watching your videos for months. 😁I’m also having trouble with my hair sticking out/ to other twists. Would you suggest palm rolling or twisting to clean them up and prevent the twists from locking together?
Does the QVR hair stay soft ( like feel like real hair) or does it get hard after time? Thanks in advance
It can be a bit dry so its important to find the right products and regimen that works to keep the hair hydrated as much as possible 😊

@@growqueenit can get hard. But what I do is spritz it with water first then I also spray rose water on it. That seems to do a good job at keeping it soft. Plus I use a really good moisturizer on it like once or twice a week. That’s helping. In my water bottle I have jojoba oil, vitamin E, rosemary & peppermint essential oils in it. I’m going to get some aloe Vera juice & add that to my water as well
