My brother actually went to school with Brian the lead singer and sometimes I just get super depressed to the point where I don’t wanna get outta bed and I just think someone that graduated from my school and became successful in my small town just makes me happy and gets me outta bed every morning to keep pushing and pushing to my goal
All time low went to a school in my county and it gave me a lot of motivation. Depression sucks.

If you listen to my heart i surrender on heart vs mind and lifelines you can see the biggest voice change. He starts off sounding like some cliche punk singer to actually meaning what he says. Idk how to describe it you will see. I still like the album but his voice has drastically improved. Mostly in between the two albums
@@jesus9719 He actually explains that at 1 point that between the schedule their old record label had them on and other things they all just kind of lost the love of music that made them start in the first place and at one point i think he said they were considering quitting but switched to a new label and just kind of started over and the love they had for music came back I don't know if that was between the 2 albums you mentioned or not but i know he did mention what i said in an interview and i think it was even in subtitles in a video they did
@@cypresshillfan420 to be fair the heart vs. mind album is kind of lame looking back at after Lifelines and Trauma which to be fair was their debuting album, because if you hear the heart vs. mind album over Lifelines and Trauma you can tell they changed alot and probably for the better because I don't remember any songs from the heart vs. mind album

I'm not a huge fan of acoustic versions, but this song sounds like it was meant to be like that in the first place, it's great, I love it.
Agreed! Most rock bands initially write the majority of their music acoustically.. they add electric guitars later on in the process.
They could still do way better than this though. Arrangement wise.

(Which sounds crazy once you heard/watched the performance). Not to mention that they'd been apart for a while and Staley was strung out on H.

Let's all take a second and remind everyone who doesn't know this band and tell them that not all metal bands are trash. I prevail is one of the sickest metal bands out there right now and the fact that they can sound just as good in acoustic than they do on record just shows their passion and skill for what they do.

Great song...and yeah his vocals sound awesome! I was in the army and deployed twice and missed my wife greatly. She passed in 2018 at 34 years old and I miss her everyday. This song is perfect.

I'm sure she would be so proud of you 💙 you're not alone, my bio mom lost her battle with breast cancer. I frikin love this song. One of my favorites from Trauma (but then again every song on trauma is amazing). The verse leading up to the chorus is so good. Delaney's voice is amazing. It's such a good, romantic, powerful, sad, emotional duet song. And this acoustic version really let the voices shine and make it more emotional.
The acoustic guitar with his voice has me thinking Brian/ I Prevail could mess around and win some Country Music Awards if they wanted to

I have not gotten the chills from a song like I got from this acoustic version. This is pure and spoke to me on such an in depth level. The original gave me chills, but my word this version. I will say say this is one of the better duets out their. Mainly because it's so well balanced between the two vocalists. No one is really over powering one another unlike some of the other duets I've heard. Overall good job

just lost one of my best friends a little over a week ago to a drug overdose. although this is not the same, she was at war in her own head and this song hits hard because now i'm going through life without her hoping she'll show up or call me, but she took a piece of me with her when she left.

I was in the Air Force for five years as a Security Forces member, got out as a Staff sergeant. I had problems with drinking and it cost my career.
I am working as an EMT now and I have dealt with more drug abuse calls than I wish to count. It is nasty. My condolences for your friend.

I'm very sorry. My best friend killed himself in 2005 over addiction and a girl. I was the one who found him afterwards. To say it fucked me up would be a severe understatement. Things did get better with time and alot of work on myself, im a recovering heroin addict. I know how you feel, and please just know that it will get better. Please be safe and know I will say a prayer for you and your friend.

This duet put I Prevail on my radar. There aren't many male vocalists especially in an acoustic song that give me goose bumps. He has range, rasp, and enough power. Gave me the Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, and Layne Staley vibe... Loved it. She was also a good addition to the track... So I'm not counting her out.
I really dig this guy voice. But for me, my all time favorite has to be Corey Taylor (slipknot)
