  • We had a fabulous day out, enjoyed it so much, the train experience was really special, someone kindly give me some great information about this train, really appreciate it thankyou.
It's a Class 109 DMU built in 1957 by D Wickham and co. The majority of them were exported to Trinidad but this one survvied before being completely restored and rebuilt in the early 2000s by the people at that railway. All Class 109s were retired by British Rail in 1971 having been deemed a failure.
Filmed half with GoPro 12, then as the battery died, the rest was filmed on other.
Thankyou for the nice comments on this video and to any new subscribers, much welcome

Nice video - it's been a long time since I was in Llangollen, the station next to the river is very picturesque. When my children were young we used to have a few days in Criccieth and ride on the ffestiniog railway as well as visiting the rabbit farm and piggery pottery - happy days !!

Liked how the music was BACKGROUND. Cos I like to hear the train sounds. We're from the UK and now run a tourist attraction model railway in Canada. If you click our logo you will experience what we do.
