He played with Careca at Napoli and some very good Italian players. Valdano in Argentina was playing at Real Madrid I think. Not quite the one man team you suggest, but certainly not a team of superstars that Pele played with for instance.

Genuinely, it's very difficult to make such a list, since there have been so many great players in the history of football. I tried to make one myself, but I always ended up feeling unfair for not including someone. I understand that some of the viewers were disappointed that Ronaldinho is not on the list, but honestly, I somehow can't really judge who I would replace for him. Also I could probably name tons of players that possibly deserve to be here, like: Iniesta, Torres, Puyol, Lewandowski, Rooney, Zlatan and many more, but I think creating a top 20 depends on one's subjective opinion.

There are so many great players missing and it's so hard to compare players from previous eras with today's. I think if you could bring them back and give them all the latest equipment, that the further back (with some exceptions like Pele) they came from, the harder they'd find it to cope. This is simply because of the great improvements in player fitness and technical training, the latter of which starts at a very early age. It's not much to go on I know, but the clips of Dido merely showed that he could pump a long ball, not much by today's standards.
You are absolutely right. Every next generation of football players are far best than previous one. Pele and Muller were great players, but now they couldn't play even for average europian club. So now we have the hundreds of "Peles" in every of top 5 europian championship.

Good picks for the top 20 but I have to disagree with some of the rankings particularly Cristiano's. I would certainly include CR7 in the top 5. CR7 for 9 years in the last 10 is in the top 3 players of FIFA/ballon D'or winning 4 times and 3 times coming second only behind Messi. He also won 3 times the Champions league, finished another CL as finalist, won one European cup, finished another as finalist, won 3 fifa club world cups, won 4 league titles, scored 50+ goals for six years in a row and scored over 500 senior career official goals. That is greatness level. Other great players didn't have such a stellar career. The Brazilian Ronaldo who is my favourite player would have had a much better career and stats had he stayed injury-free but you can't judge ifs but actual history. The phenomenon was great for 2.5 years at the start (1996, 1997, half 1998) and then again in 2002 and 2003. That is only 4.5 great years in total. Same can be said for many other great players. Ronaldinho for example had 3-4 great years but then he vanished in mediocrity. CR7 on the other hand, 10 freaking years on top (7 of them was in top 2). And he still has another at least 2 great years for sure. Listen I am not CR7 fanboy or anything. Actually I have been relatively anti-CR7 for years but you've got to admit consistency and give credit where credit is due.

The above list has excluded goalkeepers and defenders, and apart from Beckenbauer has excluded non goal scoring midfielders or sweepers. The list is biased towards dribblers and goalscorers and excluded tacklers who prevent goals. The list for the most part has included players from winning teams only. Finally the sheer volume of soccer players of every era suggests such list if possible will always be biased.

No digo que no tenga mérito o que Ronaldinho no deba estar incluido en un ranking (de hecho en mi top 5 personal es el número 3 solo por detrás de Messi y Cristiano), pero el argumento de ser campeón del mundo en un equipo plagado de estrellas mundiales no me parece muy válido. La Brasil del 2002 es probablemente uno de los mejores conjuntos de toda la historia. Todo lo que no hubiera sido salir campeona con jugadores como Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, etc, habría sido un fracaso estrepitoso.

Genuinely, it's very difficult to make such a list, since there have been so many great players in the history of football. I tried to make one myself, but I always ended up feeling unfair for not including someone. I understand that some of the viewers were disappointed that Ronaldinho is not on the list, but honestly, I somehow can't really judge who I would replace for him. Also I could probably name tons of players that possibly deserve to be here, like: Iniesta, Torres, Puyol, Lewandowski, Rooney, Zlatan and many more, but I think creating a top 20 depends on one's subjective opinion.

There are so many great players missing and it's so hard to compare players from previous eras with today's. I think if you could bring them back and give them all the latest equipment, that the further back (with some exceptions like Pele) they came from, the harder they'd find it to cope. This is simply because of the great improvements in player fitness and technical training, the latter of which starts at a very early age. It's not much to go on I know, but the clips of Dido merely showed that he could pump a long ball, not much by today's standards.

Good picks for the top 20 but I have to disagree with some of the rankings particularly Cristiano's. I would certainly include CR7 in the top 5. CR7 for 9 years in the last 10 is in the top 3 players of FIFA/ballon D'or winning 4 times and 3 times coming second only behind Messi. He also won 3 times the Champions league, finished another CL as finalist, won one European cup, finished another as finalist, won 3 fifa club world cups, won 4 league titles, scored 50+ goals for six years in a row and scored over 500 senior career official goals. That is greatness level.
Other great players didn't have such a stellar career. The Brazilian Ronaldo who is my favourite player would have had a much better career and stats had he stayed injury-free but you can't judge ifs but actual history. The phenomenon was great for 2.5 years at the start (1996, 1997, half 1998) and then again in 2002 and 2003. That is only 4.5 great years in total. Same can be said for many other great players. Ronaldinho for example had 3-4 great years but then he vanished in mediocrity. CR7 on the other hand, 10 freaking years on top (7 of them was in top 2). And he still has another at least 2 great years for sure. Listen I am not CR7 fanboy or anything. Actually I have been relatively anti-CR7 for years but you've got to admit consistency and give credit where credit is due.

The Real Life Lenny Face i'm not 12 years old bru but here we're talking about the best players as individuals. Many players of this list didn't win any major international trophy but deserve to be here. Now it's all about players revolutionning the game at their times. That's why Messi should be in the top 3. because everytime he touches the ball, the magic happens, whether it's for a pass, a dribble, or a goal. Then comes Pelé of course and Johann Cruyff. The rest is history.
Plus you can't choose your national team. That isn't an argument. Pelé had the best international team, Cruyff too. Messi's is good but if he had been German or Spanish... Oh my god we wouldn't even argue about it

Tha above has clearly demonstrated that such a list as the "20 greatest players of all time" may not be even possible and will always be biased. The above list has excluded goalkeepers and defenders, and apart from Beckenbauer has excluded non goal scoring midfielders or sweepers. The list is biased towards dribblers and goalscorers and excluded tacklers who prevent goals. The list for the most part has included players from winning teams only. Finally the sheer volume of soccer players of every era suggests such list if possible will always be biased.
