- had a few people ask how I ran the pipes on my 2018 4x4 silverado for equal length exhaust. Don't mind some of the welds it's all getting taken off and re welded I just wanted to make sure it had the sound I wanted. Thanks for watching.
Helll yeahh!! Im getting the karnate exhaust equalizer loop for my truck too. Thanks for the video. so glad a company finally makes these
Damn I gotta make that fit on my single cab. Sounds amazing man
Thanks I have since changed the mufflers to Corsa sports and had to add 2 mufflers in front of them because it was way to loud. I'm gonna make another video of the sound.
Was curious if anyone did this to the newer gen V truck
Thanks for posting
No problem I was curious myself and couldn't find any videos so I took it upon myself to just do the exhaust and see what happens. Latest videos have the corsa mufflers and was the sound I was looking for.
Yeah I was looking at that video as well… so you have the corsas plus the mufflers from speed engineering correct?
Also noticed on another comment you put that the exhaust has to be equal before the x pipe? So it could sound like a vette/camaro? Or is it as long as they are equal by the time they reach the end? I was thinking of grabbing a tape measure and trying of getting them just equal length. Lastly did you do 2.5” or 3” sorry for all the questions.
@CastroLTZ71 it has to be equal length before the X pipe I used the Karnage exhaust equlizer tube on the passenger side to add the lenght. The exhaust is 3" from the long tubes all the way out the back.
@CastroLTZ71 yes I used the mufflers from the axel dump kit in front of the Corsas because they were round and tucked up nicely
Any special mods you had to do to make these long tubes fit? I have a 4x4 NBS and wanna throw on some long tubes but my concern is the fitment.
No sir the speed engineering long tubes fit very well with no modification needed.
Im hoping to just stick an xpipe in about where the cats are and go straight out the back. Does the whole equal length thing affect the sound much?
Yes if it's not equal length before the X pipe it will still sound like a truck the reason for the equal length exhaust is to make more of a camaro/vette sound.
did you use any exhaust kits? i want to do the same for mine but don’t know where to start
I used Speed Engineering longtube headers and their true dual exhaust system with x pipe then added a Karnage Exhaust equlizer tube to the passenger side pipe as it came out of the header to make it equal length before the X pipe.
Did you put in all the O2 sensors or how did you run them?
Only have the front 2 sensors I had the tuner tune the rear ones out so I wouldn't have a check engine ight.
Man that’s a tight fit
Extremely it was a PIA to accomplish
If you don’t mind, me asking, what’s the purpose of the loop in the exhaust
It to make the passenger side exhaust equal length to drivers side to make it sound more like a vette or camaro
@@tombright2213 ok thanks I had an idea that would be it I’m gonna do the same style exhaust on my Escalade
@@L92_Joedid you do the set up on the caddi? I also have one but it’s 2nd gen. 6.0 and I’m also going to get equal length
